Just think, if Farah and Ayoub hadn't behaved so unprofessionally this all could have gone on behind closed doors…. Only the occasional scripted press release from either party.

This thread would only be 100 pages long in that case.

Yes things weren't always handled as well as could be, but their reaction has turned all this into the media frenzing circus - which won't disappear for at least another 12 months.

I wonder how much Ritchie is paying Robbie for all these exclusives? Seriously, maybe Robbie's had a TPA with NewsCorp all this time, hence to cash in has has to spill the beans, gifting crap journos 'scoops'. And as it's a TPA the club knows nothing about it!

so someone breaks into your house - eats your cat.
you shoot him….
but its all your fault -
you should have offered the guy some milk to digest the cat......

yes mate - thats the level of stupidity this is all at.

Just to add your your interesting analogy bobo, we all are investors in that house and instead of using a single bullet, the owner of the house invites a mate, lets call him sam, and they both go in with a tank and a rocket launcher and take off the back half of the house leaving it in a ruin.

Now we're all sad and angry because we've all been through years of pain and suffering to rebuild the house (although with some ongoing repair work needed) from the last time the two did it. Then the time before that.

They could have easily fixed the issue by talking to the cat eater calmly to stop eating cats or escalate the issue to the 'cops' by explaining that this cat eating is causing you grief.

There are better ways to resolve issues by becoming grown up enough to realize you can't keep doing the same thing, expecting a different result. In fact, that's the definition of stupidity. The problem sometimes lies elsewhere.

There was always a better way of handling this situation.
the two bulls needed to meet halfway and if the best for the club is what they truly want - it should never have got to this stage.

 Now he's responsible for what other people say? So if Kidwell tells a Girl Scout or a pensioner to go root herself we should be stringing up JT?

I'm not saying the club are perfect, this move was always going to be risky and cause dramas and due to Farah's fragile ego it backfired in a spectacular manner. The club should never have signed him to a long term deal, hopefully a huge lesson is learned here.

It's far from over Mama, wait for us to fall over the first hurdle, the knives will be out big time in the media for both JT and Farah.

Your wasting your time mate Farah is God to many …he should of been sacked last year for the garbage he went on with.
This will never be over until he finally leaves the club ... the first criticism and that will be it. The terrible things Talylor has done and said to poor Robbie

farahs definitely not a god mate.
whats happening is decent people on this forum and in the world outside of this forum are looking at this situation on its own and making a comment that - wow thats a pretty major stuff up from the coach ….... wow.... just wow ! !

WOW…........JUST WOW How affective the Farah/Ayoub propoganda machine has been in manipulating the media with BS leaks! Unfortunately resulting in fans taking sides. We can only live in hope that Farah can curb his sense of ownership of the club and knuckle down and do what is best for his team - NOT HIMSELF !!!!!!!!

I'll tell you one thing, Farah better play well and JT better get some results in 2016, otherwise one or both are shot in the eyes of the fans.

The upside of all this nonsense is that the fans have rallied to one side or another, and will not put up with a mediocre 2016 after the last 4 months of crap.

If that isn't enough motivation to see some improvement next year, neither Farah or JT have any future hope.

The fire has truly been lit under them both, so to speak.

Taylor thought he'd get his way, Farah thought he'd get his.

They've both gone the power play and it's only served to shine the spotlight on them both far more intensely. If Farah has an off year and JT doesn't get results, it would well be curtains for them both.

IMO, both of them going would be the best result.

Apart from what I heard on the news (I don't read the Daily Telecrap) I am yet to hear any official response from WT. If true though, that Farah's future is secured at the club, then I am pleased and will renew multiple memberships. I will do it even faster if the next step is the announcement of the removal of Taylor from the club. An out-and-out dud if ever there was one.

I hate to dredge up the old ''true supporter'' card, but this is such a poor comment that it makes you question why people even support this club.

I don't agree with this outcome, but it doesn't mean im throwing my membership away. I was always renewing regardless of the outcome. Those holding the club to ransom over this should do everyone a favour and go away.

Agree to your sentiments wholeheartedly.

I just wish Farah goes. He doesn't love the club. If he does then he would've told his manager to shut up and keep everything in house. Even if he was treated the way he was, be the better man and take it on the chin and work it out. It can be done behind closed doors.

I hope whatever the outcome is good for the club not just one man.

He propably did cop one on the chin. But that would be his limit. How many would you cop before you start fighting back? Who's to say that Robbie and his management didn't try to be reasonable and work everything out confidentially ?
JT's lack of man-management skills, tried to bully him into leaving, pushed the envelope.
Pascoe comes in and straight away things seem better. It just shows that JT and the board should have handled the whole thing better then they did. Robbie's not at fault here. He's fighting for what's rightly his( financially) and his reputation. As for Robbie not loving the WT? You must be joking.

Apologies, I erred in saying that he doesn't love the club. He does love the club (as stated by him) but the actions of his manager (with his support) to involve the media - does that action show that he does love the club or just desperation? again everything could be dealt with behind closed doors. Didn't he think first before doing this because if you involve the media then the good name of the club will be dragged into the dirt. We don't need this, what we need is to talk about football.

I just don't get the "blame JT" for all this. I agree JT could've handled it better but he can't be everywhere to be able to police everything his staff does.

How many more times do people need to be told that Farah would have never been financially worse off? He had a contract with us and if he moved on he would have been paid out whatever shortfall remained from a new club's offer. Seems to be a regular reason for Farah digging in the heels.
\

The only reason why he dug in is because he doesn't want to go. It was going to be handled away from the media and when Farah wasn't going to be able to negotiate his way into staying, his manager went public. The media crapstorm is a result of a d*** move by Farah's management, not the club. The only thing they did wrong was that an employee no longer with the club made an inappropriate comment about playing in reserve grade.

That employee was JT assistant coach. Chosen by him. Says a lot about the people he surrounded himself with doesn't it?
Bottom line is, that the whole thing's been handled badly and it falls on the coach and the board's shoulders. Only thing I've got to say is " Thank God it appears to be over"… Hopefully 😛ray:

Reddy was never an assistant coach. He was there to ease the way for players making the transition to NRL from the lower grades. Basically a nothing job.

Well played team Farah. The one that starts the fight usually gets beaten.
Taylor has been left more damaged than when Faalogo hit him with a right uppercut.

Most accept the relationship between Farah and Taylor is untenable. All the Farah haters said he should go in the best interests of the club. Why now when the club has decided to keep Farah are you silent on Taylor. Taylor should be sacked for bringing the club into disrepute or he should resign and do the right thing for the club. Perhaps we could pay him to coach elsewhere

I give up… last I heard Taylor made a mistake in handling it and then he went silent when all this leak to the media is happening left, right and centre. Taylor brought all this "disrepute" into the club, is that right? hhhmmm.... "all this could be dealt with behind closed doors" <--- I like that phrase.

Farah may have earned his stay of execution, though his head is still on the chopping block.

He will be in the spot light, and will have to be consistant and lift his game several notches to now prove his point. Last year Taylor showed he is prepared to play with 2 hookers, and Cherrington put Robbie on show to be fair, so unless he really turns it up to performing to his pay check i doubt it will take much for opinion to swing, and Ballin to get the call up. Also the Origin period when Robbie forfeits his spot, there will be a massive push from Ballin and Cherrington you would assume to force Taylors hand.

You think Taylor will be rushing Robbie back after Origin to back up when Ballin is waiting in the wind?

Robbie needs to back all this up now. Anything but a super human season all but vindicates the club of the current turmoil and decisions.

Its a win win really… he proves the nay sayers wrong and we get a massive boost... he doesnt, and the media he used to leverage his position will turn on him like a pack of rabbid dogs and the clubs face is saved.

It's a Farce hardly a win win. We are the laughing stock of the league due to a back stabbing plan by Taylor supported by the board who are lightweights. Farah will play well if he is without injury irrespective. Why did we sign Ballin poor bloke is going to play reserve grade because of a vindictive coach. He is a well respected player and deserves better. You don't play Farah or Ballin in reserve grade.

Robbie only had how many games this yr worth $900k? one?
Ballin was pushed out of Manly, just as we tried to push Robbie out… exactly the same move.
Every party involved has made their own decisions, and will have to live with them, though from here on out Taylor has the least to lose. Farah plays well he gets the kudos for putting a rocket up him after an ordinary season... farah bottles it and well he is vindicated.

Farah chose the microscope... he will live or die by it.
