More likely because they picked do him, a dedicated player who played through and thin, and actually would tackle - whereas other guys are getting close to the same base pay and are nicknamed "turnstiles"

How would you know? You openly admit you rarely watch us play,

I only had to follow the score, that I did. Sometimes we would get a lead and then blow it, just like I went to Gold Coast to watch WT. We know RF did his tackling so someone else must have been having a bludge.

So by folowing the score you can tell who is playing well? wow…...just wow

Have people considered the impact this has on membership? Putting aside their own personal views?

If the crowd chanted Robbie at Ctown I wonder that the Leichhardt faithful think of it all?

Like i sad put aside your own views for a second and consider that./

I think that this will have a positive impact. Most fans are fed up with this drama revolving around one supposedly key player. A club cannot select a player, i.e. Tauapau or others, to play first grade if that player is very unhappy with the club for some reason or other. I am sure that all the players we now have will give everything for their club. With all the drama and uncertainty which has surrounded the club for the past many months the club can now concentrate on the up and coming youth with a view to the likelihood of a big 2017.

Taylor….same for Brooks and Moses extension. No certainty that Cleary will replace him, but time will tell.

If Taylor is the reason, why didn't he walk out the door 2 months ago? Him digging his heels in and dragging the club through the mud has been pointless. Why didn't he just leave when he was told he could and save everyone the trouble?[/quote

Because the world revolves around Robbie Farah!

I think Farah's nickname is "Sooky".

We know who is defending well by the stats. Don't the same stats tell us that our points for are not far behind much higher teams, it is the point against that let us down. And we know that RF had the highest tackling count. So he certainly tried in that dept. Glad that we are speaking terms again.

oh dear. Judging performances by stats and not watching games.

I presume his nickname was sooky due to Potter/Tallis drama - well that is okay. It was only one week and did not miss a game over it. No one has came back and told me he played badly next game so no real complaint. Had he missed a game due to high tackle like 'turnstile' has?

You must of loved Masada Iosefa then , he'd make 34/37 tackles

So Ayoub has folded… This now puts the club in a very strong position moving forward.

Hopefully this is over quickly so the fans can get back to admiring Robbie as the Club Legend he is!

Couldnt agree more.. Its time Everyone moves on.. I read alot of posts on here saying they will not support or renew their membership, all i can say is one player(ledgend) doesn't make a club, this stuff happens all the time. ie Wayne Rooney leaving everton for United, Luis figo leaving Barca for Madrid, the list goes on but all clubs rebuild and reinvent them selves on and off the field over time and i guess thats whats happening now.. I will miss Robbie but i am happy this saga will end and even if we get $0 for Robbie the damage has been done, we cant risk it infecting the young generation.

Infect them with what ????

this escalated quickly…...

page 250 before his new Club is named....We can do it...

If someone takes him on at 60% of his value that's a massive win and heaps of coin to front load contracts or make a good signing.

U are dead set dreaming….

Some0ne will get him for 150k and we will foot the bill.

Haha, unlikely. The club are playing the game now and are not releasing him for what they don't believe is adequate remuneration from another club. They'd all but committed to having him on in 2016 so they'll hang on to him unless someone is prepared to pay a large part of the fare.

This is the worst move Farah could have made.

Its a sad day in my view. We have just pushed out a club legend and some of our fans are backing the judgement of a hapless board and Jason Faylor. I said from day one if you could release Farah and save his contract value then even as a fan he had to go. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It looks like we will have cap money to spend in 2017 so we need to make the same hard decision next year with Taylor. We need a coach that can attract players. With Farah gone so go the excuses its sink or swim for Jason next year. If we are not competitive he is gone by round 6.

We just make ourselves more and more of a laughing stock every year.

Having heaps of seniors players getting paid by the Tigers to play semi final football elsewhere.

The whole league is laughing at us I reckon.

Everyone thinks it great we are cleaning up all the salary cap, but who is going to want to come here and play.

I wouldnt worry about the whole league laughing at us. That laughter will soon be aimed at the club that signs him next.

You watch him absolutely kill it next year at a new club Gallagher

Couldnt give a stuff about him next year.

Bingo. Let him go to another club and taste success, he's not done it here for a long time.

With a genius like slammin Sam as a manager, what do you expect.

Still waiting to hear about the shame file he said he was going to release on the club.

Hard to understand anyone sticking up for Taylor over Farah in all of this.
Taylor has done, and is unlikely to do, anything for this club.
He has had no real success as a coach in the past yet there are plenty who are prepared to give him a free rein to do as he pleases, regardless of the cost or the results - including his poorly executed and inept handling of getting rid of one of our true champions (and life member).
As for me , ever since I was a kid I have supported the team and its players - be they champion teams or those running near the bottom, or champion players or those who don't quite make it.
Can't ever remember following the team because of the coach or cheering for one as he ran on the field.

Not sure I agree ck, I have tried to keep a very opened mind on this and I always come back to the fact that there must be someone really negative with him behind the scenes for WT to let him walk and give up so many $$$ to let him go. Then take a step back and look how it has played out…Houston at the knights, Ballin at the Sea Eagles, Lawrence...they have all been in a similar position and have handled it differently. In Lawrence's case he has been successful in renegotiating his contract and staying.

And this is where I see the problem as being. Robbie would much rather play this out in the press. He has been around long enough to know how it works, how to play the media, and he is doing it well. I dont think the current timing is a coincidence either.

He is one player and he is not worth the figure he is being paid. He could have tried to renegotiate it over three years, tried to renegotiate one yer and then take a lucrative offer in the UK, but he didn't as he preferred to play it out in the media. Maybe that is a measure of the man?

You either support the club or you support the player ..I see an increase in Rooster members numbers as the fair weather and club trashing supporters the Weststigers have at the moment will flow to the Roosters ..see you later .
