Robbie Hammers JT

Reads more like a media story beat-up. Farah only mentioned Taylor because he was asked the question directly. Gave a 10 second answer then moved on to other topics. Journo did the rest...

Don't tell me Robbie wouldn't be giddy with that headline.

CONGRATULATIONS @Harvey: I agree with you totally.
Our Wests Tigers will have a very hard time moving forward to become the great Club we all know it can be, while the dark shadow of Robbie Farah hangs about.
Without doubt, Robbie 'should' be remembered in Wests Tigers history as an All-Time Great 'player'.
But on the other hand, when we do something dumb, it Very Ofter comes back to bite us on the bum, so he is a 'dumb bum'.
He had every right to say what he did re Jason Taylor if that was how he felt, as he was simply expressing his feelings...and maybe too many of us blokes don't express our feelings often enough.
But...yuh gotta do it in the right way Robbie, at the right time Robbie, and he quite simply did it at the wrong time in the wrong way.
He should uh kept his big gob Shut!!!
I can tell you from my personal experience, all the good things you once did are forgotten once you do something dumb. It came back to bite me on the bum big time and I feel I have been paying for it every day since. I have suffered depression and for a while, at times I was on or in a self destruct mode. The unconscious part of the brain, as opposed to the conscious part of the brain, takes over and you do and say dumb and stupid things.
I'm not saying this for anything I may seek to gain, I'm saying it as I feel 'Robbie' may well be suffering from depression.
I feel he knows he did the Wrong thing in biting the hand that fed him Very Well for many years.
Until he fesses up and admits that, rather than coming out openly and putting down Jason Taylor, he will never come to grips with the disharmony [with Michelle Moses] he caused to Our Wests Tigers.
Robbie earned the right to be remembered as one of Our greatest Ever Players and captains, but right now he is probably no better than CC standard and should finish his playing days there.
Any honour bestowed upon him for his 300th game should be as Captain..of the CC team!!!
IMVHO he did the wrong thing, and IMVHO will always be remembered as A Dumb Bum :skull_and_crossbones:

A bigger man would have ignored Jason Taylor in a week as important as this...

But not our Robbie.

Yea he is all class.

if Mario fenech can bring out a book,so could Robbie- it would be compulsive reading- a history of the wests tigers so far-there would be a lot of material to cover

Yep my thoughts exactly.

I suppose you two didn't even read the story... or maybe can't comprehend what was written?
The reporter asked him about Taylor... he didn't bring it up.
Hate on anyway.

@Muffstar who is being vindictive? Seems like Robbie is and still holding a grudge.
Never seen such disregard or respect for a coach by a player in my time watching.

Another two people who can't understand what they just read.
Farah never bought up the subject of Taylor...

Congratulations Robbie on this milestone. You set the benchmark for skills of the modern day hooker forward. There are many Balmain supporters like me who appreciate everything you have done for WTs. I hope you stay on in some capacity post your career.

@NT_Tiger You're delusional if you think the interview isn't crafted.
Managers will make sure they get the questions before so they can answer appropriately.
You saw what happened when Robbie was ambushed with a question he didn't like on TV.

Your'e the one whose delusional ... his manager would have nothing to say in what questions a couple of dozen media hacks will ask him this week.
You think he's J Lo or somebody like that?
He was quite happy to go on Fox 's Professors Late Hit the other week to be embarrassed and lampooned and laughed it off.

@pawsandclaws1 JT has FANS? You have to be joking?? 😂

I am a fan of JT - he has a very good football brain (I read/saw some of his game analysis) - not very good in managing peeps or players though

anyway, Robbie good footy player but destroying it by not keeping his mouth shut - he should have moved on - it shows the immaturity of the person

@cktiger
He could have answered with a more mature response.
"That's the past and we've moved on as a club"
But no. Just to make some headlines about himself he has to inflame the situation when nobody seems to care.
Robbie is bitter until the end. Sad really.
I'm pretty sure JT doesn't give Robbie a second thought.

Inflame the situation?
He answered a question honestly.
Sad that some on here can't show even a little respect for someone who loves the club and is our most capped player... but would rather stick up for a thing like Jason Taylor.

I eagerly await the time where we are finally competitive again and make the finals series a couple of years in a row and we can forget about garbage like this.

Robbie Farah has dropped a stinging sledge on NRL nemesis Jason Taylor ahead of his 300th game. Farah will reach the milestone for his beloved Wests Tigers against Newcastle on Friday. That's despite being forced out of the club by Taylor in 2016. The former NSW hooker returned to the Tigers via the Rabbitohs and will join an exclusive club of 300-gamers, something that Taylor (276) didn't quite manage.

Taylor was sacked as Tigers coach in 2017 and hasn't had an NRL head coaching job since, a fact not lost on Farah. "I wouldn't want to hear from JT anyway,'' Farah told The Sydney Morning Herald when asked if he expected a congratulatory call for reaching 300. "At the time I was told by him and 'Rocket' Reddy I'd finish my career in reserve grade. But I'm here now - 'JT' is coaching reserve grade [at North Sydney].''

Farah, 35, is weighing up whether to play on or retire after this season. He will play his 300th game after a couple of cortisone injections in his neck.

A pathetic response and shows how immature Robbie is. We need proper leadership at this club. Haven't had any on field leadership for a long time.

Go has been the only real leader at the club of late.

Since when does the amount of games you play automatically entitle you to respect? Look at Cameron Smith. 400 games and arguably the most hated player in the game.

Bit of a sensationalist article and heading for the topic. He said he wouldn't want to hear from JT, who cares. He could have been a bigger man and just not commented, but regardless, of course they aren't best mates, what does anyone expect.

Do you reckon Wally Lewis was getting birthday cards from Wayne Bennett when the coach dumped him?

At least JT coached NRL.
Robbie will never be a ln NRL coach. Doesn't have the skills to bring out the best in people.

@pawsandclaws1
Good onya Robbie for telling it as it is.and good on Max Krilich for saying what everone has known about Can Smith but haven't had the b**** to say anything its a shame their aren't more people in league prepared to call a spade a spade.
