Robbie on NRL On Fox Tonight and The Game Plan Tomorrow

@cnx_tigers said:
All Robbie needed to do was say "SOFT! Mate, watch us belt the Rabbits this week and watch us win the comp!".

He would have looked like a leader.

Instead…............he goes on twitter and crys a river. "

And now looks like a wimp.

It's dissapointing. Players should stay away from twitter.

Especially when feeling emotional!

don't see what the drama is.

how were they tough questions?
when the team is struggling, what did farah expect.

I thought they were fair apart from the question relating to him and Benji - that is weak conjecture and should be beneath any decent journalist. Johns obviously isn't a decent journalist.

Johns realy is a Sam Newman wannabe. Newman is a clown, but he also grills people with 'hard-hitiing' questions, and for some reason in 2012 Matt Johns has taken it upon himself to be the Rugby League equilivent. Never liked the guy, and now i've found another reason why

Well done Farah. He may have said himself we were SOFT in a post match press conference. But he aint gonna let anyone else say it. Rightly so.

No problem with Matty's questions. Thats he's job even if he's speculating on rumours.

All a bit of a beat up. As far as I'm concerened Farahs words only echo mine and I'm peeved off at all the so called fans buying into this crap. We have played poorly, simple as that. Massive room for improvement.

I hope when we see the boys firing some of you fans get that sick feeling in your guts of guilt. Its times like this you back your team, not jump up and down about poor selections, poor coaching and labelling players SOFT.

FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT.

we are soft (so far) and our captain is a perennial whinger.

Running and having a cry on twitter afterwards about how you wanted to fire up is embarrasing for the club and all of us.

Reminds me of this.

i dont understand why our leader had to twitter this. best interview i've seen since Rex Mossop. Why is our leader looking for sympathy? to tell you the truth guys - i thought robbie was tougher than all this.

Hear, hear

It amazes me how can someone say that Banji i Roby are soft ?

How many went throgh serous injuries like them and are still the best ?

Also, Banji and Roby live for years with father/mothers cancer, if you never been through this you will never understand.

all johns did was ask a question.
better to be asked than read it in a newspaper.
probably made some supporters feel a little better.

i just wish footballers wouldn't use twitter.they just don't mix well.

Absolutely GREAT interview.

So refreshing to hear real questions put to players / tough questions.

I am so sick of questions like:

Journo: "you guys have got beaten the past two games, but wow you've got some talent there. You'll bounce back this week?"

Player: "Yes, we will bounce back and you're right we've got some talent".

**100% respect for Johns actually asking the tough things. "Saints punched right up the guts" "That was soft"...GREAT stuff...**

Johns explains it all here. Also says he helped out in 2005 and simply asked for a Tigers jersey for his sons as payment. Nothing else. Matty is a Tigers fan deep down and he's 100% right when he says "I've heaped praise on them, surely they can take a little criticism now".

Nice comment from Geyer also. "Blair has been invisible".

Backpedalling faster than he did on the field.
It was the snide way he asked the questions and carried on that upset Farah- not the questions.
Why doesn't he man up and tell us who's been feeding him rumours?
As soon as Farah got stuck into him he had no answers himself - turned to jelly.

I wish Farah would stop doing interviews, he never looks good.
A week earlier he himself described us as soft
Some other team need to take the role of tabloid trash king….just look at this thread, 9 pages...we love it dont we???

Farah asked a few times, "who told you that?"
Johns answered by saying that he was only repeating what the fans were saying.
Every question asked by Johns had been posed in some unsubstantiated rumour by someone on this Forum.

I entirely agree. His debating skills are on a par with a pubescent teenager. He gets unnecessarily emotional.
All he had to do was to acknowledge that he and the coach were already on record saying the team were soft and that they were working on the problem with the teams defensive structure.

Montague - it's like saying your own missus ain't as pretty as she used to be- different matter if somebody else tells you they think your missus has been hit with the ugly stick.
As for getting emotional - it's about time we saw someone with real passion sticking up for his team and his friends .

Why for gods sake?
It shouldnt be an issue even.!!!
Hes a football player…all I wanna see him do is play good footy.
Stuff the rest of this garbage, we (the club) are just getting sucked into it.
What do they care what the media or fans are saying???
