Wests Tigers halfback Robert Lui today appeared in Burwood Local Court to defend charges of assault which were brought against him in September 2010.

At the conclusion of the hearing before Magistrate Caleb Franklin, all of the charges were dismissed.

Chief Executive, Stephen Humphreys said, “ Today’s court decision brings a welcome end to a difficult period for Robert and his partner, Taleah. They can now continue to build their life together along with their recently born son, Matthias. They would also like to thank all of their family and friends for the support they’ve received.”

lets just hope this is the last we heer of it. Must say it does leave a little bad taste inthe mouth, but thats just me. I'm happy to go with the legal process here.

Nice morale boost for Lui and it's great news he can now put this behind him and move forward in his life. Should be good to get back out on the field in a couple of weeks too.

My memory may be a little hazy but didn't Lui turn himself in? How can someone turn themself in and be found not guilty? Correct me if I am wrong.

Good to have Lui clear his name I guess but something here doesn't seem right.

Turning yourself in means you know the police want to charge so you front up for that process. It has nothing do with guilt or innocence which is decided by a court of law and not the police.

Great news for his Rob and his family.

Good to see Rob and Taleah were able to sort out there issues and hopefully live a happy and fulfilling life together Good luck
