A man has been arrested and charged after an alleged domestic assault at Coogee, in Sydney’s east, this morning.
>
About 4am today (Sunday 17 April), a 24-year-old man and 24-year-old woman became involved in a verbal argument in the loungeroom of a Bream Street apartment.
>
The man then allegedly punched the woman to the face, before striking her numerous times to the back of the head.
>
It’s further alleged the woman was thrown into couch, causing her head to impact the arm rest.
>
She suffered bruising and swelling to her left eye as a result of the alleged incident.
>
Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.
>
The man was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station.
>
He was subsequently charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
>
He’s been conditionally bailed to appear in Waverley Local Court on 21 April 2011.
>
A provisional Domestic Apprehended Violence Order has been granted and served on the man.

Sunday Roast said something about him being seen leaving Coogee Police Station. Fox Sports News said police have confirmed it now.

Based on what I've read today, the worst thing Carney could have done in this is drinking whilst injured. I actually thought it was pretty poor form by the DT to bring Carney into this, unless it comes out he had more involvement, but it's highly likely they did so to try and sell a few more papers.

Watts on the other hand should be practising his soap handling skills, because I can think of one place he'll be going.

If Noyce has spoken to Carney as he admited, surely one of the first questions you'd ask him is **"Had you been drinking"?.**…..To answer I'm not sure yet...suggests a cover up!

Cover up is guaranteed! Just how well they do it will be the most interesting aspect. For entertainment value I'll be listening to Ray Hadley tomorrow morning because he's been gunning for Carney for a long time now. This will definitely take my mind off Camp Concord for a day or so. Expect Hadley to blow up deluxe which will be good for a giggle.

Now I heard a story (don't know if it is true or not ) about Carney's real reason for not playing this weekend Don't know if i should spill it but its from a knowledgable Roosters supporter who told me when I told him we were signing Piggy he knew that we would not be . Reliable with info he has told me in past
