Roosters sign Anthony Mitchell

Apparently according to the SMH, the roosters have signed Anthony Mitchell from the Parramatta Eels, effective immediately, does this mean that our mate Anthony Watts is walking on thin ice??? What does this mean for piggy riddell???? Do you think Daniel Mortimer is likely to be playing hooker next year for spazzamatta???? They have got rid of Jeff Robson to cronulla next year as well.

Still can't believe they turfed James Aubusson only to sign Riddell and Watts…

It beggars belief.

I expect to see Watts released at some point during the year on "compassionate grounds."

Absolutely, for once having dropkicks like Mason in their team (which I'm led to believe was the catalyst for Mortimer signing with Parra,) worked actually saved them a dud signing for a change.

Watts was never going to play for the Roosters again ever anyway. Riddell is on his last little pudgy legs. As for Mortimer I watched him play at Henson Park the other week and didn't even look much in NSW cup so his career isn't exactly looking up. Finally on the Aubusson stuff - he left of his own accord - wanted to retire and get on with a quiter life he has a variety of decent offers including from the roosters if he wanted to keep playing football and I for one congratulate him for doing what was best for himself

That is not the best signing. Anthony Mitchell is not that good and probably won't play, will end up with tigers as a back up for farah.
