Rory Brien

He is quite good and with he, Fine and Simona we have some options at centre.

I would love to see Ayshford with Nofo outside him though before I judge where he is really at

Ayshford seems to be concerned that Utai is outside him and that is causing major issues

Could not believe how much Aysh has bulked up ,barely recognised him

It's silly to have two slow players on the right, either get Nofo at wing to partner Blake or swap him for a faster centre, or both.

Team needs Nofo over Utai imo

I think Ayshforde should be given a chance but if he fails then welcome to NRL Rory Brien. same deal with Utai and Nofo.

Rory was a very good back rower at NYC played alot like Liam Fulton, tackling machine runs good lines, super work ethic, unfortunately did not get big enough to play back row.
Reckon he is a good depth player, but nothing more, but if he keeps playing like he is, it would be a well earnt chance.

I thought our right edge was our achilles heel on saturday night, for all his strengths, Utai has some weaknesses and they were shown a couple times. Think a change is needed, dont think Brien is the answer

yep agreed and Utai is very short and when a bomb goes up gets outleaped all the time, maybe even Reddy is an option as well, as he is brilliant on the high ball.

if those two, Aysh and Utai, play together we will concede many tries down that side of the field…Aysh to reserves and Utai to bench.

We have perserved with Ayshford for some time now. Time to try a faster tackling centre?

I think we need to try something different and Ayshford and Utai both shouldn't be considered automatic selections.

Nevermind Ayshford, Lawrence should be looking over his shoulder as well. Down on pace and not exactly performing at his best either. May well see both Ayshford and Lawrence lose their spots if they continue their form of last season.

Agreed

Aysh>Lawrence at the moment

cant agree with that, Lawrence altho not setting the world on fire has been ok, unfortunately Blake has been a huge liability for a while, not sure what happened to him, he is looking more and more a backrower everytime I see him.

Lawrence didn't look to bad to me in the trial. Sure he didn't make breaks left, right and centre but RTS was pushing in on him from his wing really well. Lawrence hit some decent angles close to the Roosters tryline and was taking the ball into contact pretty strong. He only played a half against what looked to be a very well organised defensive line. He is coming along, still not at his best but getting there. My only criticism of him is that he is not setting up or looking to set up his outside man as often like the Tuiaki era although again the Roosters defence looks like they were instructed to shut him down before he had a chance to work his centre over with footwork and draw the winger in.

Most of the Tigers looked pretty flat. I suspect Potter worked them over at training and wanted them to play under fatigue, possibly to see who would push through the fatigue and step up which has been his philosophy all pre season. Even Koroibete looked a little slow in space (for Koroibete).
