Ross to captain Souths in trial

Souths have named Ben Ross as captain of a 20-man squad (that includes George Burgess) to trial against Newtown in a month's time!

What sort of moron names a trial squad a month before the trial????

Souths must be desperate to keep their names in the papers if they feel the need to make announcements like this!!!

I understand what you are saying….just hope he will be OK and never have that sort of injury again....Gee, I wonder how blokes will feel going in to tackle him...I know I'd be apprehensive....

The announcement was made at the height of the flooding in Brisbane!!!

Apparently Souths still felt the need to get a mention while the rest of Australia had bigger things on their minds!!

Furthermore I still cannot fathom the level of stupidity that prompts you to name a team and captain for a trial a month before the game itself!!

One heavy knock at training & the announcement becomes redundant - alot can happen in a week - let a long a fricking month!!
