Roster Breakdown: 2024-2029

Referenced his 8 games in ressies plenty, but didn’t mention he finished the season in Sydney Shield (2 grades below ressies)

Even our discards only went as far back as cup or 20’s
Headlined as "Wests Tigers sneaky signing"

Seen this take?
Gotta love the new age football fan..
“Never seen him play, never heard of him” calls him a young fella (at 25) 😂😂
“I can see him playing in the centres, he can pass, this - that, goes after the game like a Taylan May”
But never seen him play?

Hopefully he’s a late Blumer 😂😂

Shout out that channel.
That guy is overly positive and backs everyone.

Bad take this one though.

Our centre depth is weak, as if always has been.

I agree with @BlackWhiteGold regarding centre.

With Toa & Taylan as our starters, our depth is, what... Makasini [rookie, no rush] or Bird? [Too slow]

Probably need some better depth there.
We lost Naden, Feledy, Staines & Fataape?
Also lost Izaac Tui"tupou.

And signed ... Max Lehmann?
I'm hopeful Mapapalangi is retained because he's a good centre backup option with some utility value
I have a feeling KMpaz will be retained as depth. One, he attended the Gala Awards function & two, his profile is still on the website when other departing players have been removed. lol

if mapz is retained that probably plugs the hole of a back up centre. hopefully he gets continuous reps there in cup so he’s ready to be called on if needed.

only other gap for me would be a 9/13 utility type until our junior you mentioned comes through. not sure who’s out there though

I’ve mentioned Adam Elliott before as a potential recruit for lock to rotate with AD and just found out he has played a bit of hooker. Played 2 games for the Raiders at #9 in 2022 and filled in at dummyhalf some other games. Hmmmmmm

That would be useful to us for a 1 year contract solves 2 problems, backup for api and Doueihi at lock if that's where he's headed.

it’s exactly what we need. gives api a breather at 9 when needed and fixes our lock issue at the same time. I’d imagine it’d be a low contract money wise so low risk if it doesn’t work out.

I think id rather a.player a.bit more specified than one thats played 2 games 3 or 4 years in a crucial.spine position.
Would he have the legs?
Has he got the passing game?
Can he pass off the ground?
I cant envisage any quick scoots from dh to take advantage of a quick ptb.

Who do you think we shouldnt extend in 2027?

I see the below players as ones we shouldn't offer a contract:
1.Will Craig
2. Jack Bird
3. Tristan Hope
4. Luke Laulilii
5. Heath Mason
6. Tony Sukkar

In fact I think the above 6 are wasted spots for 2026.

I think we should sign extensions for Sione, Skelton & Solomone Saukuru who is developing into a great 2nd rower (had an amazing 2025 in Jersey Flegg)

So with Bird gone & Herbert in (assuming he is top 30), we are currently sitting at 28 players in the top 30.

Clubs must have a minimum 28 players in the top 30 by Round 1 (the full 30 by June 30).

Would not be surprised if we reward Bunty Afoa with a top 30 deal before Round 1 too which will open up a spot in the Development list.

The 2 possibles then to go from T&T to Development would be Jack Attard or Tino Tavana. Makes sense as we don't currently have any outside backs in the Development list of 6.

Note: Only Top 30 & Development players can play NRL from Round 1. T&Ts are only eligible from Round 10.

We got about $270k back from freeing Bird up ..: is that extending to upgrading 3 players to fill out the Top 30 and throwing a sweetener at Bula to sign the extension as rumoured ? New guy better get on the blower to Richo for some help there

Someone said Bunty has a top 30 contract or is getting one
