Tipped Manly to win like many I thought no Cleary they’ll struggle in attack but gotta give them credit even without him they played brilliant, Defence was awesome from them too, I will say Manly’s forward pack was terrible even out of shape only thing Manly have is Turbo, its only Round 1 still plenty of time for them to make a comeback but if they play like that all year they won’t even make the 8 next week they have Roosters could be 0-2 after next week.

They tend to start slowly for some reason.
I tipped the useless buggers as well.
 
Geez thats one of the most impressive & dominating displays have seen to start a season from defending champs.

Panthers just made a statement to the rest of the comp. Aggression, speed & patience. They were relentless all game in defense and owned the park. Happy to give away a penalty to reset their defense only to let Manly make 20-30mtrs a set no matter what position they had on the park. DCE kicking game couldn’t get them out of trouble once. The bomb tactics are like how we played last year but the big difference was the intensity with defenders locking Saab down. Very impressive.
 
Pretty scary that Penrith looked so good without Cleary in round 1... even manly looked really good for the first portion of the game

Our blokes better shoot out of the gates tomorrow night
