Penrith will go close to winning the title this year. I dont know why forum members have to resort to insulting names for opposition players. Nathan Cleary is all class and from someone I worked with who knows the Cleary family he loves and bleeds Penrith and never going to leave. Brooks in the right position running 5/8 is an NRL player. Needs a dominate half like Prince was to Marshall. We will, never win a comp with Brooks at half back. Penrith are playing the style of football I love to watch, like Sheens era.

I think they announced themselves last night. They’ve played well all year, however last night was the first game they looked like true heavyweights putting Manly to the sword at Brookvale. Not many side do that.

If I recall correctly, Brooks was identified by Tim Sheens at an early age as a potential first grader.

If he was on the market now, no doubt he would be in demand from prominent clubs.

I have been privileged to watch Brooks and. Marshall play for WTs. Marshall will always be one of our greatest players.

Each player cannot always be in the best of form. That doesn't mean the player should be subject to your offensive remarks.

Instead of deleting your remarks, flush them.

All WT Forum Members love WT. Most came from Western Suburbs and Balmain. I have supported Western Suburbs since 1977 and WT since their inception and was happy they merged. I also love rugby league and enjoy watching every game and respect great players even if they don't play for us. Some fans need to remove their rose coloured glasses and appreciate WT at present are not successful and have not been for a while. Culture to me is the biggest problem. Success breeds success and failure breeds failure. We hang on to players who really need to be moved on. Until we can change the culture we will always be just making up the numbers since 2005.

Name the players who should be moved on?

Lawrence and Marshall should both retire end of season. Legends of our club.

Mbye, Reynolds and McQueen moved on.

I like Brooks but believe his career would benefit from a change of environments like Sirro moving to Manly.

Mate,I will set you straight now,I have said on many occasions that I have been critical of Brooks over the years,I also backed him 100 percent and said he has been handled by 3/4 different coaches,had to put up with squad changes,had to live in the shadow of Benji and has had reshuffle after reshuffle to contend with,however taking all this in account Brooks should by now have a fair knowledge of the game as a playmaker and in my opinion he is well behind NC atm..Madgesaid the problem with these players is in the head...if thats offensive to you maybe you shouldnt take every thing that is said as insulting and read it how it is percieved...
To clarify ..''between the ears is the same as saying in the head"""it isnt a slur at Brooks it means that he and other players arent grasping what needs to be done ..eg Luke not closing out the game,is it in his head he cant do it or does he lack confidence or does he genuinely not have the talent..its comments and questions..its human nature...

Penriths success now is a flow on effect from them being successful from the juniors up. Just about every year they win a comp whether it be u16s, u18s, u20s etc rep sides. We used to be like that aswell hence we’ve had some amazing juniors come through. But penrith can lose players and they have guys equally as talented. They did it so much better

I hate to say it but panthers will probably be a force for awhile yet, if they don’t win a competition within the next 3 years I’ll be surprised. There is still question marks if they can perform on the big stage though...Cleary has crumbled on a few occasions in origin

Continue to develop Blore
Tell Benji to retire

If we are to offer packer another contract it has to be severely reduced, I’d keep him for 300-350k possibly. None of this 700k bs for players that have a history for having 1 good year followed by 2 off

Madden deserves a shot however I don’t hold much hope and unless brooks improves dramatically he probably won’t and shouldn’t be renewed
