- Graham Annesley at weekly football briefing:

• Joe Ofahengaue’s try should NOT have been overturned by the Bunker
• No issue with Luciano Leilua’s try not being overturned by the Bunker

Some very poor bunker decisions...

Wests Tigers will go back to the future by axing its big-stadium strategy for a shock return to suburban ground football — and the club will seek private investors to save dilapidated Leichhardt Oval.
The Tigers plan to dump playing games at Accor Stadium and CommBank Stadium next season for a full-time return to Leichhardt and Campbelltown Stadium, the club’s traditional home grounds.

The club is also desperate to secure funding to upgrade Leichhardt Oval, and is now looking to private equity after the previous state government reneged on a handshake funding agreement.

Love the idea, but facilities certainly need upgrading for full time return.

As much as i would like it to be true the source (Murdoch media) is very low in credibility.

No doubt about it bro. He's a meter in front of
the 10m broken line. His back foot is in front
of it Ink. Bias aside, this is as clear as day smh
Called it on the night when I saw it, then doubted myself when nothing was said and put it down to my own bias. In the end made no difference but at the time it definitely shifted the momentum of the game.

Offa's disallowed try was a massive call. From 24 - 0 to 18 - 6 that quickly usually would've deflated the Tiger's sprit enough, where we go onto lose.
Glad it was a different story on Saturday though 😄
That would've been a try assist to have been added to Toa's impressive stats as well if allowed.

I’ve never watched a game at Leichhardt and was considering booking a flight to come down to watch but changed my mind, what a goose!
Last time I went there was the last round of 2016.
We’d been competitive the past 6 weeks or so and had just had a thrilling win in NZ the week previous. A win at home against the Raiders on a Sunday arvo at Leichhardt finally gets us back into the finals.
The ground was packed, spirits were hopeful, the beers flowing….and then the game started.

We were then witness to an 80 minute proctologist exam. 50 odd to bugger all. We abused them off the ground. Never been back lol.

I think the best of the night was the play they put on for bula to race throw and set Bateman up , it was smoother than when the storm done it . Loved it hope we see it again and again
It was really entertaining to watch particular the boys being more creative with the ball and coming up with set plays.

They really turned it up.

That’s what I was afraid when I considered going. Poor bugger!
But as they say you’ve got to taste the sour to appreciate the sweet

Within 2 hours of losing that game the Squad was on a boat in the harbour on end of season celebrations....
I'll never forget (Or forgive) that.
Having a boat organised to get hammered after the last game of the year - Tells me they had no intentions of winning that game and planning for finals....

No culture problem they say.....
