LIVE GAME Round 12 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
93% completion ! Ran for over a 1000m more than Cows
600 post contact meters 55 tackle busts
11 line breaks
I've never seen such dominant stats
Sensational performance
Pretty much everyone had over 100m, except for Koroisau & Simpkin, Joffa had 97m, close enough. But yeah, a very dominant performance statistically & literally.

After 12 rounds we are actually 8th in points conceded.
Been waiting for many many years for this, I hope we can improve even more on this aspect... It will go even further to improving our attack
It all starts with all the aspects of defence... Winning the Ruck, forwards getting over the ad line, controlling the ball/completions... Makes your discipline easier to maintain.
The best teams have the best defense

Well said coach

And one of their tries was offside by a mile.
I thought they were always supposed to check the onside for a potential try from a kick?

They can pick us up for someone being off side by a toe but don't even check for onside in this instance.

I guess that's fair because they never checked that try that Luciana scored for us that was grounded before the dead ball line and was never awarded.

Oh, it's Luciano, we owe him one, shame he plays for a different team now.

Oh I just realised that, "it's fair but not consistent."

They are meant to check for offsides, but yeah…

I thought their 3rd try was a great ball - great attack bears any defends so we can’t be too harsh. We also scored 66 points!

Fully. Even in the all-out-attacking days of Benji we never saw anything like this.
Even with the 15 min lull !
I mean, none of us have ever seen it, it’s impossible! 66 is the highest ever score of any Wests/Balmain/WT ever!!!
Still pinching myself.
Agree. The thing that amazes me the most is that we had 65% possession ! I don't remember seeing us dominate possession to that extent before. For the past decade we have typically enjoyed less than 50% possession - even when we won, we rarely had more than 50% of the ball.

With regard to the highest ever score, I read that Balmain scored 60 in 1946 and the Magpies scored the same in 1974. In those days, 60 points was 12 converted tries, or 72 points in today's money.

Anyway, it was an unbelievable result.

When the Brooks chant went up Klem and few others did the chant and clap also. Was awesome to see.
Yep @Mighty_Tiger definitely a slice of awesomeness.
Looks like a great deal of comradery has been reached which is showing in Their play...they trust each other.
Gees, it's only a couple of weeks ago I felt WT were on a race to the bottom of the comp with St. George.
Amazing how quickly things can change...if we want them to... and ...get the rite guidance in how to achieve that.
Seems like the Team of Sheens, Benji, Farah, Lawrence, Heighno and others are starting to rebuild the 2005 Wests Tigers winning spirit for a really good crack at the top spot in 2025.

You have been one of Luke's biggest critics and unlike some others on this forum you have the courage to admit that you just may have been wrong and are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and judge him on future performances rather than condemn him for what has occurred in the past.👍

Congratulations on 200 NRL games Luke Brooks.
Yep @hank37w.....we've got a couple of really good 'new' Forum Leaders in @Demps and @Lauren, both being a Vast Improvement 👍 on the last two duds ☹️.

You make a very valid point and I would go on to say that @Demps has matured over the years into a responsible and more than reasonable Forum Member & valued contributor.

I would also have to say that although I do not know @Lauren, I would imagine that she is a really lovely lady who's sensible contributions and work put into this Forum should never be underestimated or taken for granted.

Thanks to all those that work behind the scenes to make this the great Forum that it is
