To be fare the whole Cup team is playing rubbish, actually almost every single grade is.

So we might as well separate the chaff from the wheat now and see which of the young fellas have it. We've got nothing to lose this season,...apart from losing. But if we blood a few of them, some of them may come good.
 
Anyone questioning our coaching or attacking tactics just look at the names in that backline. None of them have achieved a thing in first grade other than Staines, who also played plenty of Panthers reserve grade. Our opposition every week is vastly better.

The two best players are 18yo and 22yo and combine for less than 50 FG games.

This year was always going to be rough.

Unfortunately, a good chunk of that Cup team in Alaimalo, Casey, Feledy, Sullivan, Matamua and Simpkin will be masquerading as NRL players this week. These are the same guys who can't compete in Cup games.
That's the position we're in because we have no other option. Our depth is nonexistent.

We said the same about Addo-Carr, Papenhuyzen, Te Maire Martin, Nathan Brown and Andrew Fifita. Who all came through our juniors and have had a great career - not mention the guns we've let go of in the last 12 years.

Ever considered our player development, coaching and retention is busted?

Our top 17 barely have a first grader amongst them, anything deeper than that... is barely reserve grade standard.

Depth was always going to be a massive problem for us this year and if you need to be convinced of that just watch the players we have in reggies,if you are not convinced by that after a couple of games nothing will convince you.The majority of them will never be first grade standard even off the bench
