LIVE GAME Round 13 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
But it doesn't, not to the extent it does the tigers.

Referees have a bias.

They know which clubs/coaches have influence over the referee bosses and who is going to cost them a gig the next week.

Until the tigers have the respect and influence over the referees, like clubs such as the storm, manly and bulldogs, then we are going to keep seeing it.

As an example, dven though the raiders are doing well, they are a team who gets the rough end of the stick too...you remember the sh1t they had to deal with when playing manly at brooky earlier this year? What happened in that first half ruined what should have been a cracker match
The Roosters cop it more than anyone. They deal with it and win. We get caught up in it and usually fall apart. This year has been different but a lot more improvement is required in how we deal with adversity.

Roosters are on the same points at the tigers.

I said it somewhere else.

I believe if Luai does this at Penrith last year they call him out give him a warning and blow a penalty. Everyone praises Luai for slowing things down and cowboys taking the 2
Why do we keep just looking for straws? Just accept the fact we are not a top 10 team and think why not.

He said three penalties in a row in the red zone is an automatic sin bin …. And they were all committed by Luai … there is no requirement for a warning …. You can say it’s harsh but I think this is more worthy of a sinbin then AD where there was some doubt over whether Bateman was genuinely impeded or was diving …I think the penalty in that case would have been sufficient IMO

Luai has got to be better and not push the envelope so hard …that put them in a massive hole from the start
Can anyone imagine Luai and AD would be sent off for 10min in that Ch9's farce of the Micky Mouse's version of the NRL? 🤔

He did it after he sent him off… there was no warning . And where is this 3 ina row = bin rule ?
It’s just not how the game should be refereed IMO. You take thenpiss yntil you’re told not to . You do it afterwards then it’s your fault .
There has to be a step where there’s a warning . And there wasn’t. .thats really poor communication IMO.
This gotcha style refereeing is a staple of the Sutton Brothers Era of refereeing . Nit picking , semantics , scouring the depths of the rule book , things like the short whistle …..
Communication and respect . And tonight it just wasn’t there .
he explained to JL 's face b for marching him . You are correct there was no warning / whining from the Ref leading up to it which i thought strange

Not 3 in a row like that. …and they weren’t even clever

Look they weren't well hidden.. But I genuinely believe it's a different outcome , 9 minutes into a game if it's one of the influential sides.. say the storm. That's my take on it

That’s not a rule dude ! No disrespect … but that’s not how the game is normally refereed mate . It just isn’t !
He could have easily had , called time off and said next one is in the bin. But he chose the most extreme route . Which isn’t in the spirit of the game . I’m not debating whether they were penalties . They were . But I don’t think anyone reasonable saw the ref go straight to send offs.
He definitely skipped the middle step . And I’ve never heard of 3 penalties in a row is the bin … spare me that’s nonsense . Him and his mate Klein are notorious for making shit up on the spot .
If the ref doesn’t want a behaviour to continue he is obliged to warn the players .
It’s not high school detention mate . They’re there to keep the game even and fair . That’s litterally thier role . It’s not to not pick penalties .
The referees seem to have to totally forgotten thier remit .
Dude ..I just went back and rewatched it … the refereee says to Luai … “thats’ three rucks ( penalties) in the same set of possession,,,that’s a MANDATORY sinbinning”… I mean ..you can argue that it’s harsh, but don’t say it’s not within the rules … Luai shouldn’t be giving the referee the option to begin with

Dude ..I just went back and rewatched it … the refereee says to Luai … “thats’ three rucks ( penalties) in the same set of possession,,,that’s a MANDATORY sinbinning”…
Is it a mandatory sin binning? Is that actually a rule?

Whilst he’s sin binning him …. WHERES THE WARNING .
It’s like saying “there’s a cliff watch out “ whilst you’re driving over the cliff….
Do you not understand my point ?
If he was worried about the 3 in a row thing why didn’t he pull him up after the 2nd one ?
That’s when you give the warning . “3 in a row Jahrome and you’re going to the bin” … then if he does it again … he deserves the bin .
That happened after he made the 3rd tackle … not the 2nd ….
And he didn’t even make the 1st one . It was Hunt ..
