Round 14 spoilers

Yo could see the lead referee had made his mind up who was going to win from the kick off - they all can't be this incompetent - therefore it must be decided before the game starts or are they that truly biased against home side, particular teams etc.

Refereeing is a disgrace - they are making games a laughing stock - supporters will be turning away from once was a great game.

Beattie / Greenberg you had better step in whilst you have a game and supporters.

Problem is there is no accountability for the referees, its hard to improve if you ignore criticism.

Needs to be an overhaul done. Gus offered to do it for free and said he could do it in 12 months.

Gus is a polarizing character but he is touch with the game unlike the people calling the shots at the moment.

Gus might not be the answer but he is right a clean out needs to happen because the refs are deciding more games than the players this year.

From a refereeing perspective Gus would be the answer I reckon. He would get it sorted

Dunno what the answer is…but the refs are having a shocking season....bet365....

Souths getting all the calls late in the game.

The refs never gave the coast a chance, 13-4 penalty count, and all the calls in the last 10 minutes went souths way.
Burgess drops the ball gold coast race away to score with 8m to go, ref says tackle completed, Burgess was falling and never touched the ground before dropping the ball. There were a few more in between, but they denied the Gold coast a chance to win giving souths the feed of the last scrum, after Jennings knocked it into touch.

Plus the six again when a Souths player punching the ball out 4th tackle. I'd also strongly question whether the forward pass call on the Titans towards the end was correct.

Forgot about forward pass, that wasn't forward, Ricky was kicking chairs, Brennan should have been kicking heads at ref HQ

You have to remember…

When Souffs are going well, the League is going well.

Pride of the League you know.

The referees are beyond a joke - to put it mildly - all of them stink!!!!!

You know Russ I hate those 2 sayings, makes me feel crook in the guts, what a load of crap they are.
And it is so disrespectful to all the other teams and fans.
I still reckon the NRL helped souths win in 2014, they got some really good calls in almost every game. And the oposition were reffed to a different standard in almost every game, with souths getting piggy backs out of their end when in trouble

There is a Tweet from Shane Warne to Buzz, I'm not going to post it as I don't want to be banned from here.

Hahahaha…I googled it, Warne is spot on and the following tweet is good too

But Booz is correct ...Preranare was terrible last nite

I wish we had this ref when Moses was getting steamrolled well after having kicked the ball a few years back. He was getting so many late hits what parent would want their child to play league.

I would also have him policing that no more than two defenders can simultaneously be involved with a runner - would make a more running game with less injuries and put him on frequent flyers.

I remember Ian Chappell giving it to Ricky Ponting once about how petulant Ponting’s body language was when something didn’t go his way, he’d kick at the grass etc. Said it was poor form by a captain, and wasn’t a sign of leadership. Same thing with Stuart, instead of looking like a poker player, he acts like a child. Great way to inspire your team.

Once again last night the more favoured teams got the rub of the green. The NRL is becoming harder and harder to watch with the refs tending to bully bash the perceived weaker clubs. Its happening every week and we also seem to be on the receiving end more often than not
