TEAM LIST Round 14 vs Panthers

Team List
I got a bit excited to be fair haha

Dumping Royce to NSW cup I consider to be big. I'll clarify that when I say "big", it is the tigers version of big.. we have been guilty over the years of not dropping out of form players.

Giving Kit a run is also a bit of a bit call considering ive seen him named to start off the bench in some of the KOE games.. I understand it's not like we have alot to pick from, but i consider it a big call.
Hunt is a deadset bludger. It’s an obvious call, not a big one. As for Kit, good to see him get a chance, but we are so low on troops, he was bound to get a run sooner or later.

*fingers crossed* that the discipline is good and ref's are competent.

Desperate for a win and hopefully the ex-Panthers are fired up and have great games.
Lucky Tigers get to play a full strength Penrith team desperate for a win I think it must be the first time this year Penrith have a full strength team

I would not be surprised to see the starting line-up shuffle to get some bigger guys on the bench.

Murray run on & Seyfarth on bench.
Bird into the backrow & Sukkar to bench. Or not- but Bird allows Sam Fainu to play some middle.

A bench of:
14 Latu Fainu
15 Seyfarth
16 Kit Lualili'i
17 Sukkar

Is slightly bigger. The utility of a couple of forwards is necessary here- Bird, Sam Fainu & Seyfarth need to play a little chess.

If Murray can play decent minutes & hold his own in defence (everything suggests he can) you have a prop rotation of May (who doesn't get rotated), Sione, Seyfarth & Kit (who only needs to play 25 minutes & do 8-10 hit ups to be better value than Hunt). Sam Fainu could slide into the middle to rest Seyfarth & add a little nasty.

Line speed in defence is key to the match-up now, because we can't outmuscle them.

Biggest upgrade is Skelton, who should make those early runs sting a little more than Staines does (not that Staines 'deserves' to be dropped...but this is an upgrade).

Good team, considering.

Sukkar, is something to look forward too, let's hope he has a big game, might spur him on. Wouldn't it be great if we can get an upgrade on Seyfarth, we need something positive. Just hope we can get him some good ball.

And Hunt has been sent reggies, not good but deserves it.

What we are really seeing here is:

Twal out- Murray in (probably a downgrade)
Hunt out & Kit in- downgrade in name recognition, but probably an upgrade in performance
Naden out & Latu in- upgrade in all aspects
Staines out & Skelton in- another upgrade

In theory- this is a better team than last week.

Sione is more like for like with Pole. Big fan, but really hope starting doesn't change his performance.

Excited to watch Mason again, Skelton and Latu.

Really want to see

6. Heath
7. Luai
13. Latu

At some stage in the game, gives us a few threats with Bula and To'a outside that.

I thought Hunt was effective as a bench player to come on 15mins before half time to 15 mins after .He's not a starting prop doing 60-80 mins as his big frame limits his cover defence
Big calls giving Charlie Murray and Kit Lailiilii starts don't know anything about them so I trust Benji sees something there .If come next match they are dropped then Benjis judgement will be questioned
I like Sione 's effort lately but Samuela needs to pull his finger out and work harder
Richo please add some depth !

When the starting team includes Latu and Pole it would be our top 13.

But need more impact from the bench.
Some of the 17 still not first grade, but we obviously don’t have the depth available.
Eg Twal, Bird and Seyfarth.

Murray and Laulili'i I have no idea about.
Sione and Sukkar- we will find out.
In future Mason could be a sub, alongside a hopefully fitter Royce.

Laulili'i will provide 15 mins of impact. He plays up-tempo and he's returning from injury, so i expect him to be gassed by the end of his spell. But he's a good prospect.

Murray should count himself very lucky to be playing nrl. His promotion exposes our severe lack of depth.

Sam F looks like his been carrying an injury for weeks, seems to always come up limping during the game atm

Any good?

When is Pole back? Been missing him, we have no front rowers, now Twal is out too!
He's a cup standard player but sometimes, when given an opportunity... these are the guys that stand up and repay the faith shown in them.

We've seen a few over the years, the likes of Martin Taupau, Kevin Naiqama & Blake Austin. Even the likes of Cody Walker, Jamayne Isaako and many others floated around Q cup before getting their start & never looked back.

It's up to him.
A good old, "its not what you know, it's WHO you know."
His links with the Richardson fam have gotten him in a good position.

We’ll now see what’s inside that big frame, a fighter or a dummy spitter. From what was being said when he left the Sharks it’s the latter. Hope not.
