Gee, that was familiar. Predictable bombs and hospital passes close to the line. All we needed were grubbers into the legs of the opposition.

Strange that Manly doesn't get Brooks to run. Brooks does three things well - playing a link in the backline, tackling and running.

That's actually pretty funny. I don't like how you name call players, IMO that's below the belt, but the last part was funny.

I don’t know what the club and the media expected of brooksy. He’s played 11 years straight with the worst team in the comp and never played in a finals series. Why would coming to a club that has only made the semis three times in the last eight years suddenly make him a champion halfback...

It wasn't just his kicks that were predictable, it was everything. The way he attacked was exactly the same every play. He gets by ok with it when you have DCE doing the bulk of work and Tom out the back drawing attention. But with regular level players around him and more responsibility he simply repeated the same style of attack all game which gave Koula nightmares. He put that left side under so much pressure it was scary.

I acknowledge he had a tough ask with such a makeshift spine. But that's when you actually play some footy. Get both sides of the ruck, play straight, turn players under, go outside or inside, take them on on after a quick play the ball etc. He just sat on the left waiting for his turn. He was robotic and repetitive.

As a long time supporter of his, I was initially hoping he went well at Manly. However I'd be lying if I said i didn't get a little satisfaction out of last night. If Manly don't get a good half to replace DCE, Brooks will end his career under the pump just like he spent the first 10 years.

Put the world on his shoulders then tell him what to do. Very poor coaching. He still has the stats to be in the top half dozen attacking 5/8s. Crazy.
 
Well anyone going to the game today I thank you for going to support our guys I really hope the place gets a good crowd , I’m based in QLD so games are hard to go to now , 3 games should be a good day out with the added hot dog , pie , beer or a coke , Tigers upset Raiders by 8.

Gee it’s almost as if Brooks is the same shit player that he was here and was being carried by DCE and Turbo. And then proceeded to be exposed AGAIN once they weren’t in the team.

Brookstards can add another L to their growing collections.

I have chatted to him a few times very smart man he won't retire for another 3/4 years

Super super fit looks after his body he knows it's his commodity and it's a business he still loves playing

If they offer him 500K ayear for the next 3 years he would take it he is so smart and understands what a normal person gets paid is so different then playing football really respects the opportunity football has given him

Kick bombs and play safe football. I got to admit even by Brooks standards I was shocked… surely you get to a point where you just say screw it with 25 mins to go and pop up either side of the ruck trying to create something. He was almost robotic the entire 80 mins

When DCE plays he doesn’t have to think, but last night he was all alone so reverted to what he knew best. “ Whatever I do I mustn’t play what’s in front of me “, that’s Daly’s domain !

Brooks only does two things well: talks it up pre-game; and makes excuses post-game.

What happens on the field is always the same predictable inept garbage. He personifies AI without the I.
