a better stadium than parramatta but as far as atmosphere goes not a patch on the eigth wonder

Something else to consider mate our for and against is not close to the other contenders, I think we'll need 32pts to make finals.
 
I think it’s pretty clear to me that Makasini is being forced to play through a shoulder injury given our injury toll.

And by forced I don’t mean the coaching staff are making him play against his will but I think if Benji had the option, he would be rested and allowed to recover.

I’m not so worried about the rotations today given Herbert and Madden were injured mid-game.

It’s hard enough to cover an outside back or half without having to deal with both outs in quick succession.

Lack of depth has been our biggest issue this year. I was hopeful coming into the season that our depth issues would be resolved but the injury toll has been too much.

The only way we can really address it for future seasons is to make some strategic buys that don’t break the bank and make sure our pathways are strong. Unfortunately I don’t see either of those scenarios playing out next year.

Yeah i agree. Run hard first would benefit both of them greatly,particularly Sione who has more ballplaying in him.

Also agree about Luai. His inability to get to the kick on the last to start the 2nd half was really poor and lead to a Dolphins try.

This is the point im making. Luai poor last tackle, dolphins score. Turuva doesn't watch the ball and gives 6 to go, dolphins score instead of us getting possession.
Sione drops the ball Dolphins score. Lanyon drops the ball Dolphins score. Thats 4 tries off direct mistakes. Then throw in Pole dropping it play one under the post to cost us a chance of scoring. That's 5 really costly errors. I can cop 1 or 2 a game, but 5? Its not good enough. Brain-dead.

You get it because you agree. We all know. I'm saying the quiet part out loud.

But

How can we move on from 3 from 15? We complain, but accept this failing KPI.

Imagine telling your boss you get 3 from 15 tasks right. You'd be on the dole with some of the blokes on here.

If I’m Benji next round I’d put To’a back at Centre and have either Skelton or Laulili on the wing. I would have the other on the bench and Maka if possible in Cup for the remainder of the season.

I actually had to check that stat and you are right. I knew our record was bad but I didn’t think it was that bad. Last 15 at CSS we’ve only won 3, last 15 at LO we’ve won 11 and even last 15 at CommBank we’ve won 7. I’m genuinely worried about taking more games to CSS when it’s that bad. The injuries cost us today, but that stat is still very alarming.

Careful. Some get upset at reality. There's a medical condition for that. But they call it the future.
 
One of the significant challenges for us a club and for Benji as a coach is to make sure that Campbelltown is our fortress.

It’s no use ignoring the fact that our record is better at Leichhardt Oval. There’s a better atmosphere there and the players rise every time we’re there.

But it’s not our growth area.

I really don’t know how to fix it exactly apart from knowing that it’ll require a concerted, multifaceted effort to turn it around.

Tbh it would probably help if we didn’t play our state cup games out at a Lidcombe Oval, had Wests Tigers teams throughout all grades playing there regularly and stopped this ridiculous nonsense of playing in away jerseys at our home games because our board members are too pea-hearted to watch us play in orange.

Bringing Wests Macarthur back into the fold probably wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

Regardless it’s a conundrum we need to resolve if we ever want to make the finals let alone be successful in the long term.
