Luai often passes the ball to a player in a worse position than Luai is.At times I feel like Luai’s jigging and stepping throws off the support play. No one knows what he is going to do and they stand flat. I like seeing him play freely like Benji did but I’m not sure they train for these plays. Moments of brilliance and moments of blah. Still we are always better with Luai in the squad.
5000 of them were Raiders fans who bussed it up from Canberra.CROWD: 9,328 at Campbelltown Stadium, #NRLTigersRaiders tonight.
Hate to say it but I think Manly are going to come out breathing fire after their recent issues and will annihilate us.Manly is winnable. The other two not so much.
We just can't keep getting better players and putting them in the hans of an apprentice coach. Like giving a Ferrari to a L plater. Our attack in the opposition 20 especially has been pretty awful for years, but we’ve chopped and changed our spine for years too. Either injury or player changes.
We don’t have the wins on the board, but I think it’s important to remember that there’s been a fair few games this year like tonight where we’ve gone down by a less than a try or two. So the effort has been there.
We’re getting close. A lot of games this year we would’ve got pumped without some of our recruited and improved players. A few quality players (May and KPP are hopefully good additions) and we well find the missing pieces to the puzzle. The key is going to be keeping our better players along for the ride.
Your not culling a coach. He is still an apprentice. We just can’t keep culling coaches, everytime we do it’s 1 step forward 3 steps back. I give him until 2026
To’aWith Benji, I have put this question out there a few times and have not gotten one taker, so I’ll try again. Is there one player, just one, who has improved under him?
God, I hope not.The club coaching staff in particular felt he was better than Galvin injury and attitude were the handbrake. I hear it’s the same with TDS and Haywood. Sounds like Api will get extended and TDS gone.
No you're not. It's not 1985. Sports science and performance and training loads is very studied and usefulRestricted minutes is some Benji invented bullshit. You’re either fit to play or you aren’t.
Well if he s out the door, why was he selected?Because he is clearly out the door.
But I’m sick of running players on the bench that catch a cold. It’s a bloody joke
Yeah but who’s a good coach who’s available? Walters is shit, so is Barrett and Griffin (no idea where he is though) there’s a lot of shit coaches out there and none of them are getting us finals bound. The best one available is probably BA but even he is a risk. Not to mention we’re gonna be labelled a basket case again no matter how we try to spin it. Clubs gotta make a choice but I don’t think a quality coach will be available to replace Benji.Your not culling a coach. He is still an apprentice.
Of course he will be.God, I hope not.
It’s fair to say that Api will be struggling in a couple of years.
Pole? With Benji, I have put this question out there a few times and have not gotten one taker, so I’ll try again. Is there one player, just one, who has improved under him?
Sione. That is all. With Benji, I have put this question out there a few times and have not gotten one taker, so I’ll try again. Is there one player, just one, who has improved under him?
Just give me another 10 weeks before I can answer that. With Benji, I have put this question out there a few times and have not gotten one taker, so I’ll try again. Is there one player, just one, who has improved under him?
Not really. Game was tight as, and with it all on the line a decision was made to keep our best player and Captain on the field instead of giving him a rest for a kid. I actually thought it showed some coaching maturity to make interchange decisions reacting to the match situation instead of pre-planned timesWell if he s out the door, why was he selected?
Either way it’s spun, Benji looks bad from a coaching perspective on this issue.
Out of that list, the only one you could say is maybe To’a. Players that debuted under him and had only played a few games don’t count. You are talking about players who were just plodders, like your Twal’s and Seyfarth’s. Those are the kinds of players you look for improvement in. Not players like Sunia who won two premierships at another clubTo’a
Surava
Samuela F, actually all Feinu brothers are coming along great
Terrell May
Skelton for the most part
Pole
You could even say API is in career best form.
