Don’t understand TDS not getting a run. Other than that I can’t agree with blaming Benji for the loss - perhaps he picked Mason instead of Latu, but there were valid reasons for that.
I come back to my halftime post questioning the difference between this team and those of the last few seasons. In the past we are smashed by 40 plus but this season we are still in the game. I see a group that is united and trying their best we are just short a little quality in certain positions. By position player for player the Raiders have us all over the park.

I checked the stats at halftime. They had more missed tackles and more ineffective.
It was a gutsy win by them as they didn’t play well.
Had they played last weekend, we would have rolled them.

So did I.

They missed 3 tackles in the first half, but I didn't check the ineffective, so I'll trust you there.

From my perspective, I thought Canberra were very, very strong defensively in the first half.

That doesn't also mean our attack wasn't poor.

We lack speed, how many breaks were made and nobody with any pace backing up ?
Api too old to be playing 80mins yet we leave a young up and comer with plenty of zip and plenty of speed in Da Silva on the bench for the full 80mins ? Who does that ?

The corpse is too warm for a thorough post mortem.

But as I come across the body, I see chronic lapses of focus in attack ( ie overlaps missed), poor positioning and awareness ( defence) and lack of discipline.

Penalty in possession when the game is in the balance. I think that was the fatal blow.

Agree - I’d be looking to play Kit Laulili off the bench a bit with the intention of playing him lock next year. He’s been great in reserve grade.

Bula should have claimed the try and not played the ball. Would have forced the ref to make a call and the video ref would have looked at it. It was either dumb by Bula or he knew he didn’t score. I thought it might have been a double movement from Bula.

A very frustrating performance - clearly we're trying hard. More than enough opportunities to win that game, however, not good enough in the opposition 20. Our pack did amazingly well against a strong pack.

You can tell how much we’ve missed fonua, we probably win a couple of those close games if he played

Nah he was good today . I thought he had a good game . He’s a good ref man . Calls it fair and even , doesn’t let teams who like to participate in Farkery like the raiders tbh , to let it influence him .
Not like Klein , who not only is influenced by the farkery , but actively
