LIVE GAME Round 16 v Raiders

Live Game Discussion
5 losses in a row all the team's below us on the ladder are winning their games tiger's desperately need to win a few games in a row (which hasn't happened for years) or 2025 will be 4 w/spoons.
Watched benjis press after the game, TDS answer if he'll be with the tiger's wasn't positive, why do we rely on our junior's coming through then have zero idea how to bring them into 1st grade like the top team's, and the club wants us fans after all these tough year's no finals to keep paying for membership,

I agree he was, though it was only in the last week that I said " I thought they checked the whole play on a captains challenge" but they didnt in origin so I stood corrected. until Canberra's challenge tonight so idk
It was because they ruled that the pressure from Bula contributed to the error so they checked whether he was offside (as they should have). Another example of us not doing the little things right. Bula was also in front of the kicker earlier in the game

I would rather the team focus on this rather than blaming refs.

Ive been going to Leichhardt for years and I am confident crowd figures have been reported incorrectly over the last 20 years.

In 2012 vs sharks at, LO it's reported we had 19,763 fans at the game that day..

I was also at the game vs Souths in 2005 which was LO record crowd of 22,877..

But when I compare to some of the games in recent years and the numbers reported - something doesn't add up... There have been games they report crowd figures of 8k but it feels like it's closer to 12k..

Maybe they could fudge the numbers back in the day?

Also, it didn't look like they had 9k at CS last night... Generally they stack the fans on the side the tv cameras face - and then that looked poor last night.

I have nothing against CS and I get to 1-2 games there a year... but I agree with another post someone said above that it just feels souless...
They dont stack anything people choose where they want to sit....even the main stand usually has seats next to paid up platinum members

Sorry I know your correct re needing to be better etc
BUT I think if you watch teddy he is off side most kicks, plus any number of offside players go unchecked. It just seems a tiger thing to find a penalty not applied to others. By all means penalise the tigers if it’s warranted BUT apply the same rules to everyone else.
Head butt - no action (ref right there)
Elbow - no action
40/20 incorrectly called
Winger off side on kick (go all the way back to capture Bula foot offside but don’t do the same to the Canberra winger whose whole body was in front of the kicker)
It’s frustrating to supporters, players, coaches and less so commentators who say oh well move on

I don’t like the shift to full Polynesian.
You need variety, you need different experiences, backgrounds and world views. You then build a culture based on shared values and goals. I suspect the new cultural shift is being forced on some of the guys rather than embracing something from them as well.
Might be way out of line on this but it’s how I see it currently. They aren’t a cohesive unit all facing the same way.
ya dead right.

Robbie Farah created and copped a lot of sh1t as a Tigers player and coach. But he hated losing. He did not accept defeat. Tim Sheens said that the only player he coached that was as emotional as Robbie was Ricky Stuart. Too much of it causes its own problems, but I feel that energy is what's missing from our side right now. Nearly insane stubbornness.

Maybe not everyone facing the same way, but dynamic enough to have different personalities around. Balance. We got rid of Bateman but he might have been absolutely right confronting Benji on his coaching approach to Junior and Senior players.

There is a lot of "I like footy but its not everything" vibes at the club. (Benji home early, May doesn't watch footy ever and would rather be a pro Gamer etc.). We are all junkies here. We're not like that. We would have no problem with someone destroying their families and their personal relationships for a couple of years if it meant a rabid obsession from them to get us into the top 8 and make us successful.

But writing that last bit out out sounds a lot like Michael Maguire, so again... balance.

Richo has plenty there for a Monday morning chat with Annusley

ah, I'm getting confused with allianz... apologies.

only the lower level on the western side of allianz is open for ticket sales, while both tiers on the camera-facing eastern side are made available...

i think if we spent our whole cap we would be better arent we like 2 mill under the cap right now though ???
Clubs are required to spend 97.5% of the cap by June 30. So they can only have $280 000 left on the books after next week.
There is some creative accounting done, pre-loading contracts but there are some rules cap rules around the extent to which this can be done as well.
I'd suggest there is no way we are anywhere near even a mil under the cap. At best I'd guess maybe 500k under with some pre-loading done to make it compliant during the week.

What was the crowd out of interest ?
According to AUSTADIUMS 9,328.

For a top-level game tonight Souths V Melbourne, there was only about 1,000 more there than last night's match at C.S.S. according to ABC radio.

Considering we are a 💩 team and on a four-game [now five game] losing streak, I reckon the attendance was pretty darn good.

How did Stefano play origin what a useless powder puff, obviously it's who you know (Bellamy) not what you know
Think he was possible trying to use it to motivate Stef, you know, another taste of the big time etc. Didn’t work, unfortunately at present Stef still a big Island boy who hasn’t worked it out.
I think you need to play the long game Bellamy because his evolution is going to take some time.
If at all !
