TEAM LIST Round 16 VS Dolphins

Team List
Even with Flegler, Hammer, Cobbo and Katoa out, their side is strong

Both our 11-13's aren't standouts

Starting props probably on par, May is the best of the lot

Their backline is dangerous, and bench adds strength

We need every forward to stand up and win the ruck, if not now, then when?

Luai and Api need to take control from there and backs need to execute every opportunity

This game isn't going to win itself

While the Dolphins have a few outs we’re also lacking in some areas. Possibly no AD, and we definitely have no Hunt, Twal, Samuela and KPP. We’re gonna need solid performances from Luai and Api to win this one. Not to mention it’s at Campbelltown which is hard to win at itself. Hopefully the boys get it done.

They probably have the best depth in the competition though haha
This is spot on. I remember the year before they came into the comp the media was absolutely hammering them about what a terrible squad they'd built, and I was thinking really? It looks pretty decent to me.

From there, they've just gone from strength to strength, to the point where I look at their bench and think about all the players I'd love to pinch, let alone their starting squad. I think they're the gold standard for expansion teams.

That said, I hope we do a number on them this weekend.

We are a punchers chance now! No Katoa, of course the game still needs to be won.

Except for Panthers game at home we have been quite strong. Fire up Campbelltown get the boys pumped!!

Our right edge defence is the biggest concern and always has been, Herbie will run riot out there if we don't improve. Can Taylan defend on the right if needed?

Peter O’Sullivan’s finest work as a recruitment guru was building that Phins squad.

As long as Herbert can hit & stick on Herbie. Herbert is strong & comes up fast so just need to be wary of Herbie's footwork & bump off. Tino will jam in hard too on Herbie too I'd imagine.

There's a lot of talk about our injuries, but they will be without 1/2 of there spine with no hammer or katoa (ironically the 2 best players at the club). If the spine is as important as it's made out to be, then we are in with a big chance as our spine is much better ... especially if AD comes back.

Outside of the spine, they are also down Cobbo & Averillo in the backs & Flegler + Plath in the forwards.

If you look at the potential individual matchups, I think we are better off. It will all come down to the teams attitude and the bench rotation. If we win this, I think we make the 8 barring a continued horror injury run.

1. Bula > Fuller
2. Turuva > Naufahu

I could see Makasini in to left wing with Toa shifted to right centre. The way Isaako was returning the ball last week I think we could really use Makasini's bigger body to nulify that. Isaako might shatter Toa's body otherwise.

The difference being is the dolphins have chosen to rest their players, only Katoa is injured but it’s a minor knee injury

Their backs shit on us but we do match them in the forwards
