Really disappointing game. AD overplayed his hand probably because Romey was MIA. Api made a couple of errors at crucial stages. We can point the finger at Mav & Masi for poor games but our senior players including Api cost us at different stages. Unfortunately it was errors by multiple players so singling out one or two isn’t right. I think we got lucky with how poor they played because that score could’ve blown out. Twal & Sam will make a difference for sure but for whatever we just dish up rubbish at crucial stages of games.

I was thinking similarly in relation to discussion around Junior Tupou earlier today. Probably yet another youngster who debuted too early in a struggling side at WT.

Hopefully AD will be better for the run and we get twal and samuela back in the next 2 weeks. I dont think this team makes the top 8, however hopefully they can get their shit together and win a few games between now and end of the season.

The reality that not many want to admit is that Doueihi and Luai are a really poor combination style wise. They just dont gel and they dont bring the best out in each other.

When Luai has Latu or Jock at 7 he gets the ball with opportunities to play to his strengths on multiple occasions throughout the game. I dont recall play being set once today for that to happen. This is that critical part of AD as 7. He is the best in the team for coming up with great plays, but his job is to set things up to bring others like Laui and Bula into the game. Its no surprise that Bula and Luai both struggled in attack today even accounting for the weather.

Im not sure what you do. Neither player is going to be moved from the halves, the only hope is Benji sorts it out as a coach but there is no chance of that happening. This will be the same result next year

I think the Knights got a leg up in the middle as we fatigued. May cannot do a quality 80 minutes. He is a 60 - 65 minute player. He becomes a target in defence and his runs are ineffective. We need some more quality up front. Twal will no doubt help in the middle but Benji needs to ensure May is pumping out quality as well as quantity
