Picked exactly the same team except David Klemmer on the bench instead of Kit Laulilii
Cant really knock it.They knew what they were doing last week
Looking at the reserves it seems Bateman almost back . Would love to see Olam back soon .Olam and Douehi makes a pretty good center pairing
I thought the pass Faataape threw back on the inside just after half-time was magical
 
We may get lucky with a few niggling injuries from Origin. I reckon you could put a line through Collins, and maybe Leniu if he plays big minutes.

If you could guarantee sensible discipline from Bateman, I would put him in just to clash heads with JWH in hopes of squeezing a few penalties or even a sin bin.

By no means am I expecting a win, but please lads, turn up with the same desire and intent as the last 2 weeks and I will be happy.
 
Seems we are going to have a surplus of wingers soon
Staines, Naden , Laulilii , Faataape , Lobb and Ailamalo soon to be joined by Turuva
That's 7 -who do we think is our main 2
I'm sticking with youth Faataape and Laulilii and next year Turuva and whoever wins the winger shoot out the rest of this year
 
It's a big job for our wingers, tall players are hard to tackle and hold out close to the line plus Young has some pace. But it's good to see Benji (mostly) sticking with a winning team.
If they come out with the same attitude and play with the same urgency, we'll be alright.

Our kick chase was good last week and I noticed there were often two of our boys contesting kicks, which is unusual for us, however it worked to our advantage.
We'll need a huge defensive effort as teams like the Roosters are hard to bounce back against. Our forwards were excellent against the Raiders, so I'm hoping for a repeat performance from them.
Good to see Klemmer back.

That pass hasn't rated a mention until you just brought it up.
It was perfectly timed.
 
Wouldn't be surprised to see Olam in for Naden and Bateman for Porter. Would strengthen us even further. I'm OK with Klemmer off the bench. Still not convinced with Faatape. Think we need at least one tall winger. Lobb or Alaimalo but it seems both are still injured.
 
Looking at the extended bench im expecting changes, I think the wings are problematic if Olam is fit enough i'd be bringing him in and shifting Naden to one wing in place of Fataape.

We've been known to spoil a few celebrations.

Bellyache's 250th game, Bellyache's 400th game, Billy Slater's 300th game, Mitchell Pearce's 300th game all come to mind, shame we don't do so well when we are supposed to be paying a tribute to some of our former legends. 😡
