In last years pre-season I remember Benji and players saying they didn’t even focus on attack until a couple of weeks before the season. Benji wanted a defensive mindset.
That coupled with Benji’s mantra of just playing footy, I’d say that Benji doesn’t focus on shape or attacking structure which is why ours is always completely and utterly atrocious.

Manly backed us into a corner and found a young and inexperienced side that wasn’t up for the physical battle. We need to keep the best of our leaders, work out which kids have some ticker and bring in some hard heads.

This year was always going to be a roller coaster . Like I said the club has fallen in a hole with the Galvin betrayal , orchestrated by the dogs , and Moses . It’s disgusting and should be serious penalties . But the nrl has decided the 2 teams this year that will get the free ride are Canberra and the dogs … so here we are .
But I’m sick of the bitching and moaning . The team is right there . It’s clear as day . They’re competing with the top teams and every one loses to manly in manly . The last minute withdrawal of luai meant that it was makeshift and hap hazard .
Whoever inherits this off Benji , will get a team that will win footy games . Benji is like the Brett Brown of wests tigers . Overseeing the shit so some name with pedigree will come in and inherit a footy team .
The club didn’t develop a single talent for 10 years and under Pascoe watch went out and perpetually put together teams that could compete for 8th , but that was about it. So they can save face and keep thier jobs . This regime torpedoed the playing roster and now are waiting for the green shoots to flourish .
I dunno if Benji has the juice to get them over the hill . I do know the club and players want him there , and he’s valued .
So stop being a dickhead and rabble rousing to get out the pitch forks like you always do about every single little thing . The 80s and 90s culture ended a long time ago bro . It’s not cool and edgy to [This word has been automatically removed] and moan and neg everything .

But I’m going to ride the train , offer constructive observations and criticisms , but also understand it’s a footy team I chose to invest hours of my life into .

And btw; we don’t lose that game because we were soft . We lost that game because we had no creativity . It was 6-0 at halftime . Kids can’t play for 80. It takes until thier bodies are 22/23 . Someone should tell TDS .. oh wait they did ! The club said it too him …. But off he goes to shit the bed for the eels and watch him get dropped and move clubs .
I’m calling it now TDS will change clubs twice before he finds success .

Whether or not that’s in the centres remains to be seen… plenty of people think he should be replaced by May when he’s fit and firing but I’m starting to lean towards Skelton and Turuva’s positions not being safe

Tin foil stuff. Something that gets no attention whatsoever is that poor teams have poor discipline.
It might be clear to you, but when you support a club who has only played finals 3 times in 25 years, it seems reasonable that others might be skeptical. It’s not like people are sticking the boot in.having won 6 in a row.

We’re developing them under Richo, but they either don’t want to stay or we let them walk.
So far, he’s not showing it. As i have said many times. Great man manager. Definitely a place for him at our club, but he is drowning as a head coach. Just look at the way he manages his bench for a start

No one is saying the current win/loss is a good thing . It sux . Especially because we are in every game . But we all need remember the team is competing , which isn’t enough I know , so we shouldn’t be happy with it , but it is better than where we were.
So we have acknowledge the progress whilst understanding how far away / or not , the club is from being where it should be .
