Regardless of if you rate Benji or not or any of his predecessors - who would want to coach at this club?
At least as a fan you can't detach for a few days or longer but this club could break most people. I get why Ivan jumped quickly.

Agree, i have no clue what the problem is but something is horribly wrong at the joint. No matter who coaches or who plays it just seems like mediocraty is ingrained in the joint in some way.

You don’t have to tell me, I was fanatical fan as a kid. They were all class in the 90’s. They haven’t won a finals game since 2004 though.

Ok ..by comparison the New York Jets have won a 4 team division twice in 50 years ..I mean that’s worse than our record of not qualifying for the finals ..

Iv got nothing but huge respect for Latu, whether he makes it as a half or not iv no clue. But hes sitting there being usedas a hooker, lock, 5/8 and reserve grade half and hasnt ever been given a fair go. Yet Galvin had the jeys to the kingdom handed to him. Not once has Latu done anything other than say he will play wherever the team needs him. It must be tough to watch abd nust be real tough on his confidence. Now we have Madden there who isnt doing much abd hes still watching from the sideline. Benji should either use him or release the kid. Dont stuff his career up because were unsure. Only way to be sure is to give him the 7 and stick with him fir a while.

Went to the game tonight - I haven’t watched any of the replay (don’t hate myself that much), but at the ground it was even more obvious than usual that the team has no structure, and no attack plan. The mistakes that we are making are often the result of desperation moves because we are on the 5th with nothing in place as an attacking play. It is just ugly and we may as well not have possession given the inability to use it to build pressure. Under the modern rules that is madness

Despite changes in players in the team, our attack in the opposition 20 has been poor for several years. We must be the worst team in the comp for creating overlaps and our wingers scoring in the corner.

Our structure is terrible. Lack of depth in attack, no players in motion, no committing defenders. Very rarely does the opposition defence look troubled.

The injuries now just become a way of excusing accountability. The performances over the last 2 weeks with key players back have been flat, uninspiring and braindead.

We have so lost our way. The intensity and the pride that we’re so evident at the start of the season have completely gone. I think the injury toll has really impacted the team’s attitude and morale. They haven’t been the same since the mid season floggings. Perhaps time look at next season and get those that are due for end of season surgery done quickly so they are good to go for preseason. Just so disappointing.

Doesn’t matter. You can’t declare him as potentially one of the best when you are detailing lower grade results only
His first grade results are ok-ish… there’s got to be more to the story as to why we don’t use him.

Once again this week
I’m sure the stats will say we had more possession and made less mistakes with the ball.
I use to think how sometimes outside backs got dropped when teams had bad defence but looking at our Defence today it was again terrible,
1st set St George make a line break down our left side (Makasini) with his defence not improving from last week he seriously needs time in ressies.
Then on the other Turuva running around like a chook with its head cut off, stay in the line and work with your winger how bad was him sprinting in field to not get near a dragons player for Valentine’s first try.
He might be good for team harmony but has a lot of deficiencies in his defence.
One positive
Alex Twal is worth every cent he is paid.

Look I don’t think players or management would trawl through here, but surely it would almost be remiss if the club closed their eyes to how their own fans were thinking and feeling. And to get some sort of picture this forum is a good start/ low hanging fruit to see some opinions of a hardened, lifelong, dedicated fanbase.

Anyway, my post was more of a vent/plea from a disappointed fan to other disappointed fans. And if I can’t give it here, then where? After all, most of us have been here a long time and this community of likeminded fans (mostly 🤣) is there for days like this, which can be emotional. So there’s some element of catharsis when you let it out. I’m not the kind to go email the club or Benji.

Benji is blind atm… every time sukkar gets the ball he goes left into the defence and Fainu goes right ,, swap them so at least they can pick up their outside men and run into space… seriously some of his coaching choices need serious intervention.. his obsession with madden is beyond belief,, madden is offering zero at the moment,, he panics in space and tackles with his arms… I cannot fathom why he cannot be dropped,,, ever

On 3 occasions Sukkar was through and untouched not sure why they don’t use him and play the decoy. Same on Sione side. Use your back rowers properly.

Well I gave suppoted benji since he become coach/ manager, but after the last couple of games , he has been shown up as a very poor coach, yes he has had his best players out injured but he can’t bring the side together, again we will be the laughing stock , our over all of having back up backrowers and centre backs, with pace has killed us yet benji just talks dribble when interviewed

He has always been a fraud of a coach. Always.
The fact people couldn’t see it was a source of huge frustration and comedy for a few of us.
It’s ironic that people are now changing their minds in the same season when he has shown signs of life.

I have no issues with us re-signing him. Injuries can happen to anyone. We just haven't planned his replacement too well. I suspect there was more the story when we let TDS go.

They just don't know how to straighten up, draw then pass. All the good teams know how to do this. Also we do not have a ball playing forward other tan Appi. They just hit it up and are one of the slowest teams in play the ball. I don't know what they practice all week.
