It's funny .....at the end of the game I switched over to the AFL and my team Collingwood
After seeing the lack of fight from the Tigers to the never say die fight from Collingwood
Send Benji down in the off season to Melbourne and learn how to install that weekly attitude at the WTs
Not a single lad playing AFL that could cop the constant contact of League and still be "never say die". It's fine and dandy to hang on for a game of aerial ping-pong.

If Benji's going to Melbourne I would instead prefer he absorb the spirit of Bellyache.

I went and rewatched the rd 4 game yesterday before heading to Ctown. I'd argue that win had more to do with getting the warriors at a good time than us being brilliant. The same issues we've had all year (shit red zone attack, etc) were all present in that game too. We were just lucky that the warriors were going through the Metcalf thing that clearly unsettled them for a couple of weeks. In the rd 4 game, they were actually physically dominant for the majority of that game and their pack actually outran ours that night.

We won because of long-range tries that went down the Metcalf edge all game. If the warriors didn't parachute Metcalf into their squad for that game and kept going with Harris-Tavita, that game probably ends up like the score we had last night. There is a reason why we've only beaten the warriors once in 6 years. We have always struggled to handle their physicality and power up front.

It's almost like an alternate reality version of our previous game against the Warriors. We were down 10-0 but we rallied, scored and then two more to get into HT 16-10.

Came out 2nd half, held strong and got away with the match 32-14.

Instead tonight we had those few chances, blew them, Warriors instead played stronger 2nd half and got away form us.

I had a feeling if we iced a few of those chances, e.g. going into HT only 14-10 down with that late 1st attack, or Big Mak taking that pass early 2nd, we might have had a different momentum.

I will start by saying the opening 20 odd minutes was the most inept footy I have seen. So many moments we were terrible, so many moments the ref was terrible. Around the 4th or 5th minute JFH elbows Toa on the ground, it was shown clearly on replay but not a word was spoken, Bula also taken out late in the second half but didn’t raise an eyebrow. Some real brain dead moments though from us Bunty on CNK, Romey kicking on tackle one when we have a mountain of possession. Some really poor calls from Wyatt when we actually started to dominate. The not played at decision that we had to challenge was crystal clear played at but instead of six again on the run we had to challenge. From the time it went upstairs it took 75 seconds for the ball to be back into play. Thats a huge rest for the Warriors. In fact in that period before halftime they started to struggle & we were on top there was 3 challenges. In total the bunker took just under 5 minutes to make those calls, thats 5 minutes of rest time for the Warriors in the last 10 minutes before halftime. Again we were embarrassing at stages but it wasn’t just poor red zone attack in the first half.

The first try was one of the worst defensive efforts I have seen. You could have driven a bus between May and Luai. And it served as a reminder to the crowd who thought it was a conspiracy that May didn’t make Origin that he missed out because he’s not at that level.

can’t believe people are saying dooi shouldn’t be the 7. How many times does the bloke have to prove himself… Jesus Christ. He’s the 7, then we have samuela, KPP, Api (if he’s fully fit) and I dare say 2026 twal and the rest can compete for their spots.
I would like to see Benji inject Latu into the halves and shift either Douehi to the centres or drop Jerome completely

We need to take the ref out of it because he didn't lose us this game. In fact we won the penalty/infringement counts 12-6. We were just outplayed by a better team. Warriors really only played 20 good minutes in this game and they still flogged us. Their errors brought us back into it in that 2nd quarter but once the warriors sorted their discipline out, we were never getting back into it. They just have too much size, power and speed for us to handle.

More generally I actually don't think that performance, as bad as it was, was really that much worse than what we dished up at Kogarah or Newcastle. We were just facing a much stronger team tonight than we have in those previous games. We go back down a class in opponents next week. As bad as we are atm, dogs really aren't that much better than us.

Wouldnt talk about the Luai situation, Benji said the whole team could have been better, was happy they fought back in the first half and we were chasing our tail in the second. Buntys sin bin put the guys under pressure. Douhi said we need to just be better in moments. Benji looked peed off. See when the team comes out tuesday.
I also noticed when asked about the Luai situation, he said they will talk about it when something is done. Said that it hadn't come from the club. (being released publicly)

Another great roll up by our loyal Campbelltown supporters !
After the last 2 weeks efforts why would you expect anyone to turn up at all? This team has clocked off for the season. Why should fans spend their hard earned and sit in the freezing cold to watch their team get thumped once again? Seems the loyal Campbelltown supporters have more sense and I don’t blame them.

Well my take on last night’s pathetic effort or lack of effort .
Our defence has gone west , it is arm grabbing and there is no line speed , some going forward and others standing still , which leaves holes .
Luai was terrible, did anyone pick up the little spat between AD and luai just before 1/2 time , after that luai spat his dummy out . Again if benji can’t get the defence right get someone in who can , while ur doing that benji get a coach who can put together some attacking situations, rather than one out hit ups

Needs to go back to Cup to develop properly as a centre.
Benji needs to work out ......is he going to play Makasini as a backup centre for Taylan or as our left winger outside of Taylan in 2027. Whatever his choice, play him in that position only for the rest of the season in Cup. You can see there is a first grader there, but still so much to work on in his game. Simplify the game for the young kid by giving him the one position and let him develop away from NRL for a bit.
