Defence for a fullback (or winger for that matter) is not about that 6/2 ratio!
It is about being in position to make the tackles you should be there for!
Latrell is NEVER in position - a bit like Doueihi at FB or Nofa!!
Too slow - poor reading of the offence and lack of effort to get back there!!
Trell plays for himself. He's the media favorite, pin up etc etc and his sins are not seen.
I actually thought the ref gave Souths every chance.
Walsh is exciting, a player that just makes you watch the game.
I thought the Broncos winger Mariner gave Johnston a lesson or two.
The Brisbane centres played all over Souths.
It's only Round 2, and tonight's game reflected an early season type game with lots of dropped ball/mistakes.
Still enjoyed it.

Yup, doesn't want a bar of the hard stuff.
Can't recall if a try came off it in the end, but there was a kick he didn't bother bending down for (because he would have been smacked), ended up hitting his legs and went back to the Broncos.
Mentioned this a while back, but that little doco Souths did of him going to America for his rehab really showed his lack of professionalism. Gifted with size and athleticism, but no passion for the sport to want to excel.
Can't tell if your serious or not both were terrible but atleast Cody has a history of being a great player, Ilias on the other hand has had 1 or 2 good games out of 50 so far.
Cody seems like his age is hitting him and he's going downhill Ilias on the other hand hasn't even climbed the hill and I doubt he ever will

Yeah he’s lazy, has been since he left the rorters, but we knew that’s where he was headed when he turned us down saying BS about being the main (only) man with us. That excuse right there tells ya he really wants someone else to do the hard work. No doubt he seen a lot of work ahead of him here. A challenge Luai has taken up.

If Ilias played here for a decade, he’d have triple the hate that Duke or Fluke guy got. Geez, he’s ordinary. And in a semi decent team too.

Said a few ago Trell is great at no1 when Souths are deep in the red zone in attack. Sadly he lacks the speed and endurance for most other parts of the game. Good sides kick away from him early and burn him out.
He will have the odd blinder and win Souths a game or two on his own but there will be plenty of average games along the way. Early days to be totally writing Souths off, but early indication they are a team on the slide

I can’t remember which coach said it, could have been Brad Arthur after Parra lost in 2022 but he basically said you have to work twice as hard to make the big dance the following year reiterating the mental scars a GF loss does to you.
Goes to show how good Penrith really are after losing their first one
Yet there were many on here who wanted us to virtually throw every dollar we had to get him to play with us.I and others got ridiculed for not wanting him as i could not see him as being good for WT.He is just a fat bully with a poor attitude most of the time,no doubt he can play but usually just seems to let the game pass him by

Latrell is one of the best centres in the game, as for fullback he’s way down the pecking order. I’d even take our own over him
Champion @jadtiger - I was one of those who really wanted Trell at the time we were chasing him.
I also wanted that "star factor" injection.
(We subsequently missed him, then Moses and landed on Luai.)
So really it was just a yearning to become a better team.
Back to Trell - I agree with you.
