LIVE GAME Round 2 v Cowboys

Live Game Discussion
Was away Thursday to Sunday so didn't get to see any football this weekend. Managed to watch the highlights, doesn't really give a good gauge of how we played. Interested to see the full replay later, I get the feeling I'll be impressed.

It was epic...looked great and inspired the boys.....but we dont like travelling to Cambo....many that went yesterday wont go to Cambo for whatever reason, needs to change
I think the seats on the western side with the sun in your eyes looks too organised and not group - mate friendly. The regulars prefer to stand and chat or sit on the grass.
Uninviting compared to the Leichhardt hill. Always appears to be empty?
Maybe needs a bar with 1/2 price beers to get the Leichhardt crowd to turn up.
Shame really but lacks atmosphere.

Did anyone else notice that when Luai made the break the Cowboys player started holding on the Bula even tho he didn't have the ball. Sure if Luai looked to pass to Bula after he had been brought down it would have been a sin bin.

Lots of people these days it seems see kicking stones as an option...ive seen it mentioned a.lot

I thought Bula was just covered, wouldve been tackled, thats why romey didnt pass...only saw it live havent re-watched

Overall I thought the whole squad performed really well - loved their general intent for most of the game.
We did have some periods where the Cows ran through us and had us backpedaling off quick ptbs. This indicated that our first contact, line speed and wrestle in the ruck was softer than it could be. A quality team on that roll would hurt us so we were fortunate that they made errors at times when they gained momentum.
Our 2 edge forwards were a standout as was Luai. Our wingers played well although LL had a few too many errors in him ( but he’s still young and will learn). AD was good however his kicking is still technically poor. Bula showed some glimpses but needs to build on that game.
Most of our middles played tough, May was underdone. Twal was great as was Api. Bench all contributed.

Thought cow’s defended the break well there with players in the passing lane combined with fullback pressure on Luai making it hard to thread that ball to Bula. Luai probably did the smart thing. Maybe a chip ahead might have seen Bula reach the ball first possibly.

Thought May was outstanding . And noted intensity changes with and without him on the field . Pole remains a concern with a drop off in tackles when he tires. I would be dropping him for Bunty as a wake up call.
