Round 2 vs Cowboys

I saw this posted on Instagram but the post has since disappeared.

It was suggested that in round 2 vs the cowboys at leichardt, that fans turn their backs on the game in the 5th minute... The 5th minute representing the 4 sacked directors + Richo.

Ill be there... So count me in

Whilst I feel sorry for the fans that have purchased memberships and can’t get the refund they are entitled to, if HBG are still in control by round 2, then anyone going to the game to support the Tigers is only enabling these clowns.

I understand your frustration.

But anyone not supporting Benji and the team we got behind in 2025, is not a real fan.

What I realised after engaging some of those Wests magpie supporters driving division on Facebook is they want you to give up.. because over time it becomes "their club".. theres no one left to fight their stupid agendas trying to divide us.

Stuff that.

This is OUR club. Not the magpies. Not Balmain. It's the Wests Tigers.
We stay true
We stay loyal
We make sure foxsports take note in the commentary about the whole hill turning their backs to the game..
We make sure it's discussed on every NRL media show the following week.

We make sure that what happened this week isn't forgotten.

We need to replicate what spurs did to Levy in the Premier league.. it'll take time.. but we can drive change over time.

I will be flying from Brisbane to support the boys at round 2, as pissed as I am at hbg I’m always going to back the boys and hopefully they come to slaughter the cowboys. There’s no better way for the players to stick it to the board than to make the 8 next season

Whilst I disagree with that point of view, I understand.

It reminds me of a couple of situations:
- My mate who has been complaining to me about his employer for 15+ years, where my advice has always been to leave, however he continues to stay there and do nothing about it.
- Protected action during EA negotiations where the unionised workforce sat outside the gate, whilst the non-union employees continued to work whilst benefiting from the people prepared to endure inconvenience for what they believe in.

We will have to agree to disagree on the team supporter comment, it often gets thrown around when someone says they won’t accept mediocrity. Like lemmings blindly following a leader regardless of the consequences. I have supported the Wests Tigers as much as most on here, however there comes a point where I am not prepared to blindly follow people I don’t believe in, and that point is the continued ownership of WT by HBG after the past 2 weeks.
