we need to keep pole, and then add 2-3 more forwards on top of him. if we release pole we need to sign an extra forward which is proving hard given we haven't signed any for next year

The point is, he isn’t ready and needs to be managed properly. Same with the young hooker.
We have seen the club stuff up similar opportunities before and don’t want it repeated with this current crop.

Yeah, fair point and that's why I mentioned he should be paired with Latu and realistically that would probably be in reserve grade, for one thing, I don't see Benji dropping Luai.

Maybe he should ask Luai to play lock for the rest of the year, but then as I said, I don't see us winning another game this season and pairing the 2 young guys in NRL losing every week is either going to harden them up or break them completely.

Yes, we have seen this club stuff up similar opportunities and I really don't know the right thing to do with all the turmoil and dramas that we constantly see at this club.

All I know is who would want to be a coach, especially at the Wests Tigers.

I said at the time when Luai announced he was going to PNG that it was, ill timed, unprofessional & would wreck the club for the rest of the season & was pillored by the keyboard warriors for bagging Luai.
He could've said to the WST his intention of looking into in the off season & then made his decision but No his ego & the money got in front of commonse & well.......
