With the Tigers now on 22 competition points with a for and against of +20, IMO these results need to go our way. Of course, all this is irrelevant if we lose to the Rorters, but with faith we'll smash em, here's what needs to happen.

Friday
Panthers V **Dragons** (by a decent margin … Penrith's F/A is 6 better than ours)
**Storm** V Cowboys

Saturday
Manly V **Souths** (Souths are on 21, Manly are on 24 with F/A 32\. If Souths win we could leapfrog Manly on point differential)
**Bulldogs** V Raiders

Sunday
Warriors V **Titans**
Roosters V **Tigers** (our F/A is very close to the two teams above us, so we need a big win as I'm sure the make up of the 8 will come down to F/A)
**Eels** V Knights (Parra have a crap F/A of -78 and Newcastle are on +12 so a big win to Parra could really put the Knights in a tough position)

Monday
Broncos V **Sharks** (We're now on 22 points with the Broncos but their F/A is a horrible -137\. If the Sharks can beat the Broncos it'll give us some breathing space around the bottom of the 8)

think id rather see the knights smash the eels.. dont want them on a momentum stream before we have to play them :astonished:

but agree on sharks winning, they a due a win hopefully its against broncs and not against us :smiling_imp:

are penrith on uneven point meanin their F&A is irrelevent to us?

I was just about to make the same sort of post but I am thinking with the ladder as it stands:

5 Panthers 19 10 8 1 439 413 26 25
6 Cowboys 19 10 9 0 470 368 102 24
7 Sea Eagles 19 10 9 0 408 375 32 24
8 Knights 19 10 9 0 393 381 12 24
9 Tigers 19 9 10 0 409 389 20 22
10 Broncos 19 9 10 0 373 510 -137 22
11 Rabbitohs 19 8 10 1 439 435 4 21
12 Eels 19 8 10 1 322 400 -78 21

I am thinking if Manly beat Souths, and Parra go down to the Knights, while we win, that would create a 3 point cushion between us and fellow top 8 contenders

So after this round, the table would then be (without changing the f/a):

5 Sea Eagles 19 10 9 0 408 375 32 26
6 Knights 19 10 9 0 393 381 12 26
7 Panthers 19 10 8 1 439 413 26 25
8 Cowboys 19 10 9 0 470 368 102 24
9 Tigers 19 9 10 0 409 389 20 24
10 Broncos 19 9 10 0 373 510 -137 22
11 Rabbitohs 19 8 10 1 439 435 4 21
12 Eels 19 8 10 1 322 400 -78 21

We would still be out of the 8, but that would basically knock Parra and Souths away from us, while the Broncos would stay behind us by 2 pts plus f/a, meaning 3 contending sides would basically be 2 wins behind us, while we would be a good chance of still sneaking up to 5th.

*EDIT* That 2nd ladder i posted should have 20 games played instead of 19 and the number of wins and losses havnt been adjusted. Just take note of the competition points the teams would have.

i think parra winnin would be better for us as long as we win vs roosters, that would keep 2 teams on the same points as us if cowboys lose to melbourne

Then if we win rnd 23 and parra, knights and cows lose rnd 23 that means the game vs parra isnt as important

but bugger it, if we win all our games well finish 5th so we should just do that

Yep. My bad.

Besides Souths over Manly, i think all the others are likely to happen. Crucial round for things to go our way.

We just need to win every game and finish on 32 points. We will be guarenteed a spot in the finals and we don't have to worry about anyone else
