LIVE GAME Round 27 v Titans

Live Game Discussion
Has a good game followed by 6 weeks of being a passenger

Although it seems he's been injured for some time now so there's that.

I think Makasini outplayed him tonight.

I'd like us to see 2026 with;
1. Jahream Bula
2. Sunia Turuva
3. Heamasi Makasini
4. Taylan May
5. Jeral Skelton

Starford to be the back up option.
Not consistent enough imo
But even his good games are only good in attack. He's an arm grabber. That's why Newcastle never rated him

Think this and the Cowboys game was a matter of them having an overinflated sense of their abilities, thinking they have done the hard work against a team lower than them on the ladder and taking the foot off the gas...
That is likely true and a big reason I’d love to kick Api and Luai up the arse. They allow this crap to happen and only seem to concentrate on how they are playing.
Neither of them are captain material.

Look, I've never rated him either but he's got his extension so he's part of the plans.

He's an upgrade on Naden as the first choice backup, if that's the case.

Like to see Taylan and Makasini be the first choice pairing.
If Toa can harden up there is talent , 3 years of sooking , suprised he was resigned

Said he’s trained them hard, so that’s on him, and it showed tonight. Sorry but don’t buy it, but he’s proud of them for blowing a good lead, not scoring a point in the second half, and losing again just like v Cowboys, Raiders etc etc etc.
We have NO killer instinct !
He didn’t say he was proud of them did he?
We really need to boot this bloke….

You don’t give them enough opportunities when you have rookie tackle zero errors from guys like Seyfarth & Pole.

If our backline is playing behind a forward pack who fights for the win every week and plays intelligent footy we’ll climb the ladder, I have no doubt.
If they complete sets, kick long and chase, tackle force errors, then we can be competitive. We have plenty of points in us, but lack basic structure to get to the kick.

I don’t think he’s any better than Naden and although Makasini looks to be a star in the making, I’m not so sure he is ready to play regular NRL just yet.
We have some good players, but not yet a top 8 or top 4 roster.
Some of our fans like to blame Seyfarth. Sure we could have someone better, but at his contract value it’s slim pickings, hence the reason we should be very careful on who we are paying big contract money and taking up a big percentage of our salary cap.
