To be fair, I wouldn’t be surprised if in Benji’s mind, coming 16th is no great upgrade from 17th.

Of course the position on the ladder isn't much different. But it's the labelling of winning 3 wooden spoons in a row that's very damaging to the brand. A few teams have won back to back spoons, very few win 3 in a row. It's a symbol of complete system failure, and not one we want to be associated with, even if it's true.

It really seems that Benji is blooding youngsters and considering this a trial game. Parra is pushing juniors in but a lot of Senior players are taking the field.

Parra is taking this far more seriously then we are. If we can't offer better defense then St George, were going to get walked on.
