LIVE GAME Round 27 vs. Eels

Live Game Discussion
No offence...but could be more effective than winning and putting a false sheen (no pun intended) over the season.
Surely that will drive them to train harder...
Surely!!!
Non taken.

I hope those that remain are as upset and embarrassed as we are.

Work they're butts off.

Wow! Got home at 1.30 this morning. That was the longest drive home, ever.

I saw things a bit differently at the ground.
The 10 was very, very skinny when Parra were defending, but a good 10-12m when WT were.
Api looked absolutely exhausted before the game even started, and when he missed that first conversion, his head dropped, and I though uh-ohhh.
It looked like men versus boys out there. The Eels players were huge. RCG is a giant, and he's not alone. Our team looked like short waifs bedside them.
Stefano was an absolute disgrace. Surprised he wasn't booed. See ya, pillow. Of course, I expect him to tear us a new one when we play Storm next year 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

The atmosphere at the ground was great - until the points started piling on, then it was BAU. Until then, everyone was nervous, and no-one was confident.

A guy sitting behind us suggested next year, instead of "Show Your Stripes" the membership drive 3-word slogan should be "Maybe Next Year" ...

Kudos for the commitment.

'Maybe somewhere over the rainbow' would be a better slogan. Could play the song before every match instead of Eye of the Tiger.

This is what happens when there’s no accountability all year from the coaching staff. When there’s no accountability we become complacent.
From early in the season what should’ve happened was if you play shyte for two consecutive games, you get dropped to Reggie’s regardless of price tag. Then earn your way back into the squad. This would drill into players heads that you need to be performing at your best week in week out. I’d rather lose every week with a team of nobody’s that goes out and has a red hot crack and lays it all out on the line than a team that has a bunch of pretenders showing up eg steffany.

Absolute commitment & dedication shown by you @Suzie-Q 👏

Yep Utoikamanu will now join Mitchell Moses to cop the wrath from our fans for the rest of his playing days. Insipid, gutless & embarrassing!

We were let down by our leaders tonight and unfortunately our young guys had no one to guide them. Something emotionally/mentally was up with Api tonight! I haven’t seen his demeanour like that from the get-go ever in any game I have watched him in. Obviously led to his worst performance of the season.

3 moments for me took the air out of our tyres when we still had victory in our sights.

1 - When we lost it in attack about 10m out (Galvin from memory) on an early tackle after a break in 1st half. I think we were only 4or6 down at the time. Eels then go & score 1 or 2 sets later.

2 - The intercept off Latu’s inside ball just after half-time. They score. If Latu finds Galvin on the inside, we go deep into attack with confidence.

3 - Api’s sin bin - our inspirational captain off. It’s like our guys straight away believe they can’t defend with a player down. We let in 3 tries in this period.

I thought we were competing until Sivo grabbed that ball off the Parramatta drop out. Just too many fundamental errors and nearly everyone got in on it.

They couldn’t even muster up some fight for a sold out home crowd who has kept showing up for them despite the absolute garbage we have been served for 13 seasons.

Not really - it's perfectly understandable that people will be upset with him (but not to racially or otherwise abuse him).
He's put in little most of this and last year. States he wants to be a leader and shows no desire on the field.
Are you going to be happy if he transforms into a machine at the Drizzle but couldn't be bothered putting in here?
