@TSP and @Kaito, If my posts offend you or you feel you're being bullied, you can always just block me. My intention is not to bully. Sometimes it's banter. Sometimes it's debate. Maybe I could choose my words more carefully. We probably all could. There is no sensitivity scale next to your usernames, so unless there's some outburst, I don't know that I'm dealing with people that are more fragile or sensitive.

Yes that's fair. Not everyone will get along. People have fairly serious issues with you too. Not sure what I've ever said to you? Tbh I've tried to avoid you because you've always been pretty rude to me.

I am not proud of some of our results but the Magpies and now Tigers are in my family’s blood for more than 70 years and I am always proud to be a member of our club and have no problem getting out there wearing my members hat.

I do understand the frustration and mentality of saying “I’ve had enough, earn my money” but I see it like the worse it gets the more they need me. Not just my money, but my undying support. Wearing my members hat and driving around with the bumper stickers on. Although the minister for finance and fashion has banned stickers on the new ute, sad.
I guess I’m just a billboard. I want people to know that that there are still passionate Tigers fans out there and even though our team has been less than average for an extended period of time we still support them.
Fruit Pascals self indulgent sugary rein and Bagipants’s little foray into the limelight has finally come to an end, and will take time to repair, but the repairman is in the house. 🙏. That’s Richo, not Benji, Benji needs help. A seasoned pro who’s willing to be a teacher.

I'm a little surprised how upset I am about the idiocy that transpired last night with the approach to that game.

I've long been in people development/leadership positions in business and I champion the following philosophy.

If you want to 'be' something in the future, promoted to a higher level position or given a project, 'be' that professional now in your current role. Then the decision makers will give you the opportunity because they can see you 'are' that professional and therefore 'know' you can do the job.

So the message to the kids last night should have been - If you want to 'be' successful NRL players, 'be' NRL players tonight. Build disciplined pressure, kick to the corners, chase, and earn the chance to try your hand. That is what successful NRL players/teams 'do'.

The decision makers are already making moves to replace half of them but.

He basically made excuses for himself, didn’t apologise, told us we had to switch settings to accommodate him, blamed a mod, tried to redefine bullying and all that.

Blamed a mod ffs, that’s pretty low.

Complete narcissistic in the glorious throws of self justification once someone actually stood up to him.

And when he’s called out his mate goes in to defend him ( despite saying he’s not) and goes on with his victim-blaming lies.

If his apologist mate wants to post up where I have stalked and bullied people, go ahead make my day.

Anyway, with these kinds of people on the forum, my advice to other forumers is not to contribute too honestly and don’t share too much. You’ll get gaslighted and sniped at. Then you’ll get blamed for standing up to forum bullies. And as you know, I didn’t say anything to them to start anything.

We need to be in a position where people want to play for us AND earn their contract spots. Where they will try hard, nay try harder* to put on a tigers jersey. To get there we need:

A long term 3-5 year plan.
A training schedule that will get people up to first grade standard.
The ability to drop non-performing players.

Benji isn't the person to do this.
Tim Sheens wasn't the 'head coach' to identify where the Tigers had to move too to get out of our situation. As coach he tried speedball with a very squad, which failed.

Benji is in too deep too soon. I hope we can send him to Super-league and get anyone else in to take the next 2-3 years. Lets see if the board cna make this hard call.


*Does trying harder work? Or do we need to try Smarter... From what I read, tasks that require brute force will benefit from more effort. I.e. our forwards could use a rocket. Tasks like Halfback where you need calm, timing and focus are try smarter tasks. Too much pressure on a playmaker and you get what happened to Luke Brooks or Mitchell Pearce, a guy who tries his guts out but does nothing. It's a fine balance that Wayne Bennett gets but Bellamy goes the work harder route.

I'd suggest Bellamy and Bennett would have achieved the most success with this team. I'd also argue that some of the other coaches such as Stuart and Fitzgibbon would have got more wins. Benji may end up a good coach, I don't know, but he is just too inexperienced to be head coach at this time.

Might have to agree to.disagree here. Dolphins placed 10th this year with a much better team than us.

Bellamy has years of stability and a proven system to fall back on. Not saying they are bad coaches, just saying no coach would have fixed this mess overnight and to expect it from Benji who also has inexperience on his side, is maybe a little.bit much to ask.

I will reserve judgement until next year when we have some decent recruits.

If the same disaster happens next year, I'll move to the sack Benji camp.
