TEAM LIST Round 27 vs. Sea Eagles

Team List
You know not getting murdered just once by the Cowboys would have made this weekend very interesting.
Just another Wests Tigers season where comments like, "if only . . . . . . " abound.

Once upon a time it was, "if only we turned up for that last round game we could have been playing finals footy."

These days it's more like, "if only we didn't concede that record score line we could of gone into the final round with a chance of avoiding the spoon."

We can only hope for better times ahead.

If only we could score one more try per game...

We are in trouble in any case if Api is out more than a few weeks,,.,He is the key player in the team,,.. do you think Simpkin is a huge upgrade from the kid In any event ? Some of these kids have got huge wraps on them… they are going to need to test that in 2024..
At this stage, Simpkin is a good back up. And ahead of TDS.

If he's willing to stay to be one, I'd keep him.

I assume TDS will be the 14.

Kit Laulili'i has capped off a brilliant couple of years with an NRL debut. the captain of our undefeated Harold Matts side, he captained SG Ball a year young this year and has progressed through the grades to reach the top in the last week of the season. bends the line on both sides of the ball, has a brilliant short passing game and has an excellent motor.

while you could argue Feledy's debut has potentially come early, it's hard not to get excited. a weapon in attack, his instincts are exceptional and is very much a right place right time footballer. while he has work to do in defence I'm very excited to see how he fares on Friday.

happy to see Matamua finally given a crack in the starting side. while I have my reservations about his lack of mongrel, his ball skills are second to none. bring on Friday!
I don't know much about these young blokes. Geez it would be nice to see them do well - a bit of a late season boost for 2024. Here's hoping.

Don't get the Simpkin hate.

Actually looking forward to this game for the debutants. Can't say I've looked forward to a game in a very long time.

Glimpse of the future, thanks Benji. Must come with a warning though - we still don't have halves, so don't bury the debutants if they don't go that well.
Really good point.

KR, have you got the KOE team available ?

Good luck to both.

Benji said he "picked the team" this week during the coaching insider (indicating it was the first time he had full say over who was chosen). Matamua straight into 13. To me this confirms Sheens wasn't sold on Matamua. Keen to see how he goes tonight given a proper go at his preferred position.
