I honestly think this is our problem. We need to improve recruitment and retention and it's not always about getting the highest paid player.

I think the idea of pathways is to develop players and therefore not overpay at market which is good but smart signings can make a difference.

We made some high dollar signings which are always risky and unfortunately those signings didn't come off.

After watching the game and as painful as it was I have come to one conclusion that is
Our internal pathways are not going to get this team to play finals next year
Yes weve got a few promising Kids who might make a mark in 2 or 3 years .Weve also got a few who imo will never make it because they just don't have a footy brain. eg AJ
We can maybe put together a forward pack although light on depth .However the backline is way way short of a top 8 backline .
Weve got Bula whos almost rookie of the year .Please sign long term but apart from that its a worry .
Nofo has lost pace but is safe under highball Hes hard to tackle and never gets bundled into touch .Cant tell about his finishing these days as no one ever passes him the ball
His 500k for next 2 years is a contractual commitment .Would be good if we could get something back for our money
Tupou has pace but has really gone backwards in last few weeks .Went missing last night
Our 2 promoted centers Feledy and Reilly No not there yet maybe in a couple of years

We won the penalty count and had less errors.
