I think this thread may be simpler by Saying "**Who are you dropping** ?"

I'm dropping BJ, Brooks, Kepaoa replacing them with Mbye, Madden, Talau respectively

I'm putting Simpkin and Simpkins on the bench with Musgrove and leaving out MCK and Mikaele.

Our attack is terrible. Let Mbye play where he has trained all pre season. If Jtj not available, Talau to centre and AJ gets another chance.

I just want the coach to drop the obvious under performer BJ. Probably AJ as well, but not sure if he'll drop both of them.

Mbye can do the job in the centres, but the cupboard is bare for wingers. Even the reserve grade wingers a barely up to reserve grade. Talau could go on the wing but he's probably a waste out there.

I'd love us to drop Brooks as well, but we don't have a capable replacement.

I called the outside backs out before the season started as an area completely lacking in depth. 2 weeks in and we are being found out. From those that did not play yesterday I think we have Mbye, Cini, MCK & JTJ as options to play.

As did I, but most supporters thought we were too good to sign Mansour for depth.

I'm all for putting Brooks in Reggie's but it's too soon. It will completely bust his confidence if he is dropped after 2 rounds.

Doeihie and JTJ in the centres, Simkin and TUI and possibly even Cini would at least offer speed and variety, otherwise another yawn fest. Madden has a good short kicking game that we need.

The thing I don't get is that we have had Hoffman and Cini in the dev program for a couple of years....yet go and sign AJ on a long deal, immediate NRL contract...and he has shown absolutely nothing. Lead for hands, can't catch, just no winger instincts...

Yet gets a long, NRL, deal.

So, why even bother developing the others? What was the plan? They all play the same spot / AJ long term deal blocks their path.

It would be fine if he were an established player, but he is terrible.

Watched the game again & have watched the Knights games. Pearce 300 game and he will be on.

Changes for me would be

JTJ back in
Mbye replace BJ
Talau replace AJ
Brooks and AD swap.

Pearce plays most footy down our left side and we must change it.

Lucy must mark his man & stay beside Brooks and not come infield in defence.

Early ball to JTJ to get him space 1-1 with Best who has struggled to keep speed with attacking centers last year and this one. Most tries against the knights have been up the middle or Best side this year so far.

I agree. Dropping Brooks now is only going to destroy his confidence further, and we have no one better to replace him.

Better to go to the market for a long term replacement. Plenty of good halfbacks available this year.

BJ and Kepoa should be nowhere near first grade. Either Hoffman or Fitzgibbon need to be upgraded as Kepoa really is awful. If Brooks stays he should not kick in general play unless it’s an unstructured or forced situation
