Selecting Mbye in the centres is the same as giving up.
Tried him there all last year and it was a disaster.
Leilua is a problem but Mbye is never the answer.

Defence is more important than attack and Joey can't tackle

Yes it is...............but Mbye proved time and time again that his defence is poor and his attack is non existent.
It's pointless reverting to something that doesn't work and will never work.
If Mbye is selected Newcastle can strat planning their victory celebrations after they isolate him and roll over us.

Nah

I’m not a huge Mbye fan but his defense in the centre’s is atleast a huge improvement on what we’ve currently got on that edge

Plus if it’s true he was playing with a niggling injury all of last year, we could see a rejuvenated Moses.

He was poor in his two games so far. He offers nothing.
You are willing to accept mediocrity at best with Mbye.
The game is over before it starts if he plays centre.
Personally I'd like to see them have a crack at winning.
Talau and Roberts gives us that chance.

Looking forward to this team list.

Im really not expecting many changes. Maguire seems to be trying to undo his reputation of being too hard. Last year we had players crying they were walking on egg shells and scared of being dropped. Coming off of his damaged reputation at Souths where it was suggested he trained them too hard its going to be very interesting to see what he does with the team this week.

Ive supported the guy since he we signed him, loved his recruitment but today im on the fence waiting for the team to be named.

We need to use our depth and send a clear message of the standards that are required. My gut however is telling me he may only make one or two deck chair type changes as he is scared to upset the soft under belly of this playing group.

Well it’s early season. **We just played two favourites that we held at 1/2 time and silly mistakes and that RHS defence killed us**.
Our forwards just need one tweak and that’s Musgrove.
Our back line has soft center and wing so Mbye and Talau for you now who on right edge should improve things.
Despite what you say we do not have depth and are waiting on some promising juniors to develop and hopefully stay.
Madge has a difficult task this year .... his squad so called improvement has got everyone’s expectations high .... but realistically we have deficiencies everywhere especially in terms of experience, 5/8 situation is problematic and back row/lock vacancy sign is well and truly out.
Our so called depth is not demonstrating anything in reserve grade so ..... yeh we are well ant truly!

Yes you are right we did OK in the 1st half
And we looked dangerous in attack

Second half we fall away
We have done that for about 10 games straight
What is it that changes in the second half
Do we tire
Is it all psychological
Is it laziness
Is it all opposing coaches work out our weaknesses and we don't adjust
Are we just simply clocking off
Or is it simply our players aren't good enough
I myself think we have a few consistant lazy Defenders in our backs that need to be dropped
I am happy with most of our forwards

1st week Garner has a shocker
Last week was better
1st week LJ was great
Last week he wasn't so great
We need these players to be consistent in a good way

So at best we bring in Musgrave and Blore , maybe Tuki

They aren't going to make us Top 8 candidates

Write off 2021 for your own mental health sake

Underwhelming maybe, poor not really. I like the fact that he atleast offers a short kicking game

Look I’m not saying he will get picked however I reckon he’d do a much better job than the mess that was on Sunday arvo. But then again so could I

Hearing BJ will survive the team list today and will be named in the centers with Talau dropping back to the Bench..

All 3 of those forwards would almost certainly make a difference imo

Tamou, Joe Offa to an extent and Twal hit the line at snails pace, complete contrast to the 3 blokes you mentioned

They actually run with intent

It's all in the mindset they carry onto the field. Very unfotunate with the first two teams we played were against high order teams Canberra and Roosters. I am sure that nearly all Wests Tigers players went into these two games with a very negatve oulook.

The disappointing thing is Joey actually can tackle. He made some great try savers the week before. Last game he certainly was terrible. I think a lot has to do with his brother on the same side, they seem to me to get in each other’s way. I’d like to see them play on opposite sides.

He’s fat , lazy , slow and turns like the Titanic . What does my head in is that he’s more than capable.

He most definitely has

But anyways even the fact that we went ballistic over his little fued with Brown last year shows the lack of aggression our forwards have shown over the years

On the good side of things at least Musgrove is back this week.

He fixes that weak spot on the bench. Could even start to be honest and have Joffa off the bench

I like Mus on he bench. I think he's more valuable to us to strengthen the props with Stefo when Tamou comes off.

The problem is that neither gets in anyones way. It is like they are calling "yours"

That's a pity. Madge doesn't seem to make changes easily. Maybe he thinks a player can't redeem themselves unless they're given a chance.

I think BJ deserves to be dropped, as he let the whole team last week with his lack of effort. I dont know if BJ will improve his attitude unless he is dropped.
