Don’t think that TS ref issues need to be part of the every presser. I thought we got a couple of friendly calls today and would hate to think
It’s going to become a weekly whinge, unless it’s something stark !
As we have spoken about many times on this forum, I think the issue is going to be the quality of our backs, not forwards.
We are really lacking punch in the centres but maybe some better service from 7/6 can help that.

Agree, he was solid - but one telling mistake today was when he took his eyes off the ball thinking Api was going to hit out the back.

He has to be better in those situations

He's young enough that he's got improvement left in him but he's definitely not the finished product.

Even if he was eligible to play first grade, I probably prefer Tupou to him right now.

You're 100% correct but he's only a kid. I'm not advocating for him to get thrown in the deep end, I'm just saying he's going to make a very good NRL fullback.

Other than that, which was huge, he was pretty good. I think this has been his best start to a season.

I had no issue with the officiating today. One or two calls don't go your way, that's rugby league. I rolled my eyes when i heard Sheens speaking about the refs again

AD is a terrible 5/8th he is a him 1st player.

Just a total ball hog and one dimensional style player & majority of time he doesn’t even do the basics of that right.

AD has been more costly than Brooks this season so far which is saying something.

Can’t believe we extended him already.

Twal was after 20mins our leading meter maker. Klemmer and Stef have been plodders last 2 weeks and Joffa from last year has just disappeared. It’s scray but Twal is also the only forward one watching and reading Api.

Agreed…what is going on with Joffa? Standing wide and deep and flat for his “hit ups”.. and trying to offload instead of take the tackle…

Sheens is just trying to divert the media from tearing our team to shreds. He will probably get away with it a few times, but everyone will cotton on soon enough.

I personally think if Sheens can keep the team’s spirits up we will see things turn around. They will not get anywhere near the eight, but they will develop into a fair side And give us some hope for maybe next year. Very hard to bed in a new style and a lot of new faces in a few weeks…especially with our spine
 
We should have won that game .. if Bateman had scored that sitter we win .. !! Over all we played better .. just gotta put more pressure on the defence by getting back to back sets .. if we have the ball more in our hands .. the less defending we have to do .. can someone grab Brooks and show him how to grubber the ball into the in-goal for christ sake .. !!
 
AD, hopless, Bateman good, Twall a work horse. Wakhem to 5/8. Api close to best form. Stains , people forget is only the same age as Laurie, with confidence could be our answer at fullback. Kick chase in the first half was terrible. Offa was a passenger. Klem and Twall carried the side.

Our forward attack strategy is crap.
In Klem & Stef 2nd stint they just ran hard and we got opportunities from it.

After 40mins both Klem & Stef ran for 50mtrs combined which is shocking, last week they sucked as well.

Props are meant to run hard and strong not the Sheens fluff crap.

Joffa isn’t a bench forward never has been.
 
I expect we may see a few farewell/I'm done threads from fans over the coming weeks.

Also the Brooks fans love when AD has a stinker as it takes the light off the lucky number 7

AD was a colossal failure today... I don't know how he could even look himself in the mirror after that one.

Brooks has a good 10 minute period after being rubbish the whole game & now it’s apparently I told you so 😂😂

Don't love seeing AD fail, prefer he lived up to the Hype. Brooks fan only because we have no better option, (as a 6). All in on Wakeham
 
Very telling we started playing well when Wakham came on, he straightened the attack our halves are the issue both are hopeless Doueihi was worse than Brooks today and by a long shot.
Wakham has to be at 7 next week Brooks at 6 only because we have no one else, Doueihi to centre or even KOE either or.
I noticed Api was even playing 7 at points we were that rudderless with Laurel and Hardie steering the ship,i know we’ve already resigned Doueihi I wish we hadn’t but surely we can’t extend Brooks. The only circumstance that would be warranted is if it was on the condition we signed Moses, but I can’t see that happening.
