Yes, I don’t think Nofa was the worst by any means, think he might have been the scapegoat today. Anyway, the changes helped.

Wow, only caught the last 20 minutes or so earlier, so watching from the beginning now and just saw the intercept pass from Doueihi. Geez that was terrible.

Unlike the Naden intercept try, when he timed it perfectly to capitalise, Adam passed it straight to them when basically stationary. Horrible play.

Bateman- STAUNCH

6 and 7- not good and probably never will be, brooks showed up at the end for 5 but it’s not good enough for a starting 7 on big money need that play and effort more consistently

Tupou- stays for me

Staines- safe, piss poor effort on that try chase down though

Api- genuinely started feeling sorry for the bloke out there, always a thought and a step ahead, he’s come as good as advertised…follow him and things will happen for you forwards and backs.

Klem- great metres, good go forward

Nice to see Blore and Pole finish out the game.

Weed out some of the duds and we could watch some half decent footy soon, maybe high hopes

What happened when Douhei stopped getting the ball - we played well!

Gotta hand it to Brooksy - he played fairly well today. Run on the 5th in the Bulldogs 20 in the second half was a blip but he tackled well and played beautifully in the back end of the 2nd half.

Our forwards outplayed theirs. Api had his best half so far in the 2nd half.

Fonua Pole lead run in the pod on our short side try scoring play was perfect. However, we need to stop attacking short sides - it doesn’t work at the moment. Our short side pods are off - backs getting too flat to cause poor opposition defensive reads resulting in forced passes, dropped ball and clustering on sideline rucks. Very frustrating.

John Bateman was great.

Realistically we were a good bounce away (Bateman) from winning that game.

Also - no HIAs in the whole game. Incredible

Hard so close after a game to pick.

I was hugely critical of signing Wakeham but that's 3 very good displays in a row and a solid display in the Canberra trial, so he has proved me wrong quite badly so far. I'd be rewarding him with the 7 jumper.

I would also throw Tupou at 1. I know he is quiet, but we are crying out for someone who moves like him at 1. Pure footballer.

I guess Brooks plays 6. But gee his passing is so bad.

Mate it’s the outside backs job these days to work hard. Did you see Joffa go off his nut at one point?! Then he let in a try because he’s rooted. Our backs have to contribute more.

Well when you analyse the numbers the Dogs backs put in so much more. I thought for the first hour we were in another headspace.
I just don’t get it. So much on the line and so lackadaisical !

Just watched the press conference. When Sheens was asked about Noffa he didn’t want to comment on it. That could be the end of Noffa. Hopefully so!

I think it’s really important that we don’t lose sight of how terrible we played, despite the comeback.
The first hour was so disjointed and poorly executed that you couldn’t say we had any plan.
An intercept try and some razzle dazzle doesn’t change how crap our fundamentals are in comparison to other teams. There is a real disconnect somewhere along the line that needs to be sorted, post haste.
And with Munster back next Friday it’s not going to get any easier.
