Good looking side for BRET once again. It would be nice to see Tame Tupou added to the squad soon. Hopefully that knee of his is getting strong enough to play.

I would imagine Cayless will add to one of the squads on the day.

Even though Balmain have to travel all the way to Mt Smart Stadium , this should be pencilled in as a Wihead the Vulcans have been woeful in their first 3 games getting beaten by 20 to 30 points by Winsdor , Shellharbour & Cronulla, in which 2 of those games were home games.

Basically the above team is the exact team named that struggled in the heat against Norths on Sunday, this team has to come out with guns blazing and win this one by 30 points +, and get back on track. Apart from 20 minutes at the end if the Newtown first round , the Tigers haven't shown enough to be serious contenders, though it is early days I guess.

We have not been in good form and have relied on some moments of individual class to get us through. Handling and talk have been pretty poor thus far

Cayless would add something to the front row for us.

Maybe a loss is what this team may need to get their season into gear properly

NSWRL reports the score as

FULL TIME (NSW Cup) Auckland 38 def. Balmain 14

Not a massive suprise considering we have gotten away with poor form of late

have to agree smeg its been a while coming very poor form the three wins were a bit lucky a wake up call was needed

heard the centurion coach wasn't happy at full time . he said the 34TH try by the sharks came from a forward pass..
we all know how that can change the course of a game…

Flectcher will not be a happy chappie…even though BRET's form over the first 3 games have suggested this , I really didn't think they would lose , and not by so much

I have only heard smatterings but I think neither Lazarus & Taumata played.

I could have seen us losing this one regardless especially considering the form of some of our pack.

I would be interested to see how Dave Fifita coped against the size of the Warriors pack
