LIVE GAME Round 4 vs Warriors

Live Game Discussion
Yeah not sure. I don't think Pole and May work as a front row in attack anyway. Twal was the only one with go forward through the middle.

Luai will be there. Douhie and Madden fight it out for halfback. Madden is a more genuine halfback. But can't leave douhie out of. The side.
Do you want a really out there suggestion.

Douhie and Madden as the halves and Luai as the 14 providing spark off the bench.

Haha. That won't happen but yeah it's an idea. Luai really hardens the edge defence (except last week) + leadership. He just needs to play more direct like Madden and Douhie. Will be far more relaxed when Taylan may gets back and Turuva can go to one wing. Maraksinis made 4 mistakes and missed tackles. Need a few games and regular breaks during the season. If Toa is fit them put him in for now..

KPP 14 runs for 125m and 41 tackles. Plus 1 try. What a get.

Great win and I know Im nitpicking. But even though the defence was good May and Pole did not much with the ball.

May - 7 runs for 58m
Pole - 6 runs for 59m

If we have metre eating wingers and Twal going hard you can let it go but I feel we need more from the front row. Maybe put Sione on and drop Pole back to bench. Unsure. They need to hit the line harder.
??? When they were on the field all they did was defend . Both up to minute 30… and again when they came on . How many tackles did they make . How many tries were scored down the guts ? May was rock solid . He worked his guts out in defence closing down when they shifted and turned the ball inside .
I’ll say again … to people pay attention to when and how we defend. not just the tryline stuff , but midfield when nothing is on . And see how hard guys work .

Just got back from the game.

I sat in line with our try line (defending in second half). The goal line defence was amazing, The Wahs threw plenty of shape at us but we kept on turning up. Our Edges with KPP and Samuela leading the defensive line, we were really strong.
Maka had a mixed game but his contact is terrific, he can attack and defend.
Twally was very strong in D and held the middle well in addition to his good hit ups.
From an attack point of view, Jock straightened the attack and gave Douiehi with space to do his thing (he was MOM in my opinion). Jock’s kicking game was on point as well.
Backs took the hit ups really strongly as well and consistently got over the advantage line.
Tigers have to tighten a few things but the effort in defence is something to build on.

BTW - Wahs fans are a pretty happy bunch. Few of them walked up and congratulated me.

Doueihi came up with some great plays that lead to points, happy to give him the 3 points but not my choice as his ballplaying was as bad as you can get, particularly in the first 30 minutes. He was the main reason we were so bad.

Once we got into the grind of the game, Doueihi decided to stop ball playing and he looked so much better. He is so valuable ti this team, he just needs to accept he is a runner.
Can’t agree it was AD’s fault we were so bad at the start…. it was the outside backs defence.
Same as last week.
Thankfully, with so much possession, the Warriors were stupid not to keep attacking Luke L’s side.
