Probably taking a leaf out of the Bennett book. God that bloke is the rudest prick I’ve ever seen in a press conference. He makes it so uncomfortable for the journos to ask questions, you can tell they are shit scared of him. It’s unnecessary behaviour, how hard is it to be decent.I love Benji and how he has such high standards. I love how strong he is in the post game press conference about standards.
HOWEVER he really doesn’t need to be rude when a journalist asks a reasonable question.
Behavioural standards are also standards.
He’s still a legend, but a lot of young people watch those conferences and have way too many terrible role models in leadership these days.
it serves a purpose, shuts down futile questions n also the hard none of any 1's business ,alsoProbably taking a leaf out of the Bennett book. Brilliant...its intentionalThe Tigers victory song in the background during the knights press conference was the icing on the cake 😂
I have noticed this as well. He uses Wayne Bennett as a bit of a mentor, perhaps he had learnt his media gruffness from him. Because of his Fox background, he is much more accommodating with them.I love Benji and how he has such high standards. I love how strong he is in the post game press conference about standards.

Exactly.Today was AD’s most complete performance that I’ve seen. Ran and passed at the right times.
It can take the pressure off the players by deflecting attention. it also can galvanize the squad. The coach has to stand between the players and the press.Probably taking a leaf out of the Bennett book. God that bloke is the rudest prick I’ve ever seen in a press conference. He reminded me of Wayne Bennett in the presser. Grumpy, irritable and taking the attention of his players. It tracks since those two had a close relationship, Bennett winning the world cup with him in 08, then bringing him back from the chopping block twice at two different clubs. I imagine Benji has adopted a lot of that style.Probably taking a leaf out of the Bennett book. God that bloke is the rudest prick I’ve ever seen in a press conference. He was fantastic. Especially defensively. Everything To'a hasn't been for uswith Herbert we are pulling blokes off excavators and turning them into Greg Inglis
I think move him back to the wing outside Taylan May. Skelton is a disasterOur 4 young Macca seems to me to have lost his confidence , each run he looks like he is hurt when getting up to play he ball, he needs to go back to reserves and build up again, if May is ready next week swap them . This is not a pick on the kid he just looks a bit lost
Skelton da man - cheap as chipsI think move him back to the wing outside Taylan May. Skelton is a disaster
