Referee was poor, their first try, Willison was tackled & the last pass was forward. Api's arm grab late not a penalty. Luai was clearly stripped by Staggs... In saying that, we shouldn't have burnt our challenge. All minor things.

Like ..what the hell was that ( the challenge ) ? It was the last tackle so even if they win it will be a handover ?

Not really a minor thing when they lose it either because it encourages the other team to try and get away with more foul play …( see the Luai strip)

How did they get lucky? From what I saw they toughed it out, weathered our attack and counter punched, taking their opportunities until they won.

Reynolds showed all 4 of our halves how it’s done. He said at halftime and at full time that his team played poorly, yet he injected himself into the game at the right times to secure the win. I don’t think we’ve ever had a half who could do that. I’m not convinced any of our halves would have thought about the 1 pointer when still 9 minutes out from full time. They just don’t think tactically enough and it’s likely because their coach didn’t either when he played.

As for the silly claim that we would have beat every other team in the comp tonight…don’t start that crap. We weren’t playing anyone else.

Lucky in the sense that they had Reynolds who's been in this postion countless times and knows how to ice games. Broncos have Hunt instead of Reynolds and we probably win.

Please, he gave them a penalty right in front of the post to draw level. He may as well kicked it for them! That won them the game, yes makas stuffed up but the ref played worse. As I said Renoylds got in the refs ear and it showed.

Agree, I feel like the dubious penalty against our captain was the difference. Broncs played well though, deserve the 2 pts. On to Leichhardt…

You have listed reasons we lost but by far the biggest reason was our red zone attack. If we could score in our red zone by passing we wouldn’t need Tavana on the wing to save us with his acrobatics.

Oh well, i’ll let others on here tell you how different that broncos team is / was today - and without calling you a poo. If you think the team we played today makes the 8 then we certainly won’t!

I think you’ve been carrying on , and now you’re trying to save face . We should have won . But we lost key moments in the game , like May not running through the line , or Masi 4 mistakes at the end (2 with the ball . 1 poor D read , a the penalty) . Thats it . That’s sport . The winners are squally the ones who execute in the 50/50 . And vise versa . We didn’t execute . We went home empty handed . Gotta be better .
But I loved the game plan , I loved the defence , and I’m telling you most teams would have quit with the onslaught we gave them . It’s a testament to Madge and that team they didn’t . They’re the premiers for a reason.

He’s a weapon Reno. Always fit and kills us. There’s a reason Benji tried to sign him and Willison I believe. He was the difference.

AD is the best player in the field every week at 7. Luai has to be the 6 but has to step his game up which I believe he will was excellent round 1

Dear God can we go a game without people blaming the refs it's so damn repetitive and tiresome.

We were competitive against the premiers but just weren't good enough. It happens. We didn't lose because of the ref.

Couple of things I’m thinking ,…

There is no way they will leave Luai out of the team …So AD will need to move to accomodate Jock …

AD is a great runner ..but not the best passer and sometimes he doesn’t pass it at all when he should …

They did run shape tonight, but it was defended well by their edges and their scramble, Staggs was brutal at times, but Taylan let him know he was in a battle, we are at our best with our second phase play.. Jesus, we played the premiers and they scored 3tries against the run of play… I really cannot believe the rabid doomsdayers on here bagging the whole team ..we lost by a field goal… against the broncos ,, Reynolds was the difference

How does any of this relate to what I said?
I am not doomsdaying. I’m one of the very few on here that thinks we should be 0 and 6.
I want the only halfback in our club to play 7

We have only been beaten by a total of 3 points in two games. That shows we still have a really good shot at a final4 spot.

The boys will be kicking themselves, they'll learn from & lift for the next game.
It's still great to see just how much our boys have improved & if we get lucky with injuries.

Might not have got the 2 points tonight but we were a chance to win like in every game we have played this year.
How anyone can’t be happy with how the team has improved this year is beyond belief.
