Double demerits is a joke, these wankers use it at the drop of a hat.
Putting them on from after midnight on the Thursday to midnight on Tuesday (ANZAC Day) and calling it a long weekend when the only public holiday is the Tuesday, to me is just a joke.
They may as well just of had double demerits for the whole of the school holidays, but I shouldn't speak too soon because that is probably their next move.
Wouldn't double demerits for 6 weeks over Christmas and New Year be a great idea, even better, just double everything and have it all year round.
Don't get me started on all the cameras that are out there, where you might not even know you've done anything wrong until you get a notice in the mail.
People getting booked multiple times before they know anything about it and not given an opportunity to alter their behaviour, oblivious to the fact that may have run up a small fortune in fines, lost their licence and quite possibly their lively hoods as a result and unaware of it all until it's too late.
I suppose I'll cop a barrage of criticism for being irresponsible now.
