LIVE GAME Round 8 v Raiders

Live Game Discussion
The evolution of sam fainu has been incredible. Both him and kpp hit with such intent as well. Really dominant defenders. We haven't had this since Gareth.

Is turuva the best hit up winger in the comp? He looked electric.

I've never felt so comfortable watching a tigers team defend, they rarely threatened. Weakes is damn fast.

Watching from behind the posts I thought Bula looked fantastic in his sweeping runs. I saw some on here knocking his game, I just don't understand that at all, he's becoming a dominant fullback imo. No longer getting folded in tackles.

Terrific kicking game by doueihi, good variety and placement.

Seyfarth tackled well filling in for KPP.

The Hill was a heaving mass of noise, drinking, stink, joy and mayhem by the end of the game. I never really like being in it, but it's a pretty rare and special sight to see in the Australian contemporary sporting landscape. Special.

Don't think Api should have been sin binned .
These tackles are unavoidable
The Canberra player made a pretty quick recovery
Agreed and Marshall said the same at the presser. He’s lifted off his feet by the momentum of the tackle. It’s not a hip drop in the sense of a player willingly leaving the ground. I thought Laurie running in a million miles an hour with no arms was more of a sin bin to be honest. Almost Kleined again although to be fair he didn’t seem keen to do anything about the Api tackle.

What i really like about that win was the fact that Canberra played quite well - they were tough, hit hard in defence and were fast and powerful in attack - they would have beaten a lot of sides tonight - and yet they were on the end of a hiding and could only score points when we were down to 12 men. We at last have a football team to follow.

God no
probably latu comes back and shares it with hope
That would be the smart move. Possibly his absence this week is to give him more minutes. I’d imagine Marshall was more thinking about a potential origin selection. Hope does a reasonable job when he gets on.

Yeah it was the same as Nikorima’s sin binning last week. Penalised for what was once considered a good copy book tackle. Bloody ridiculous rule that will cost teams games.

Great to see we CAN get it going without Jock...but great to have him just in case

90% tackle effective tackle i just love that

Down by 1 to the premiers last week then dominate the minor premiers tonite...just stoked
Yeah couldn’t be happier. A bit worried in the first half, going in behind again despite our efforts and opportunities, but the second half was magic! Two weeks in a row now no tries scored against us in the second half.

And Sam Fainu is just a phenomenal player! I don’t think I’ve seen a better back rower for a long time and there’s been some good ones over the years, but he has it all.

Just got back home from the 8th. Solid performance. Very professional by us sin bin aside it was dominant. Biggest improvement was Douihei floating left and Luai right. Great coaching been a while since I said that. 👏 have to watch the replay to se what happened but happy with that effort.

Funny that hey, as soon as the penalty gets blown the player doesnt act like hes been shot anymore, Not just last night but its happening every game, we do it plenty aswell, its a poor sight.
